Gregory Pratt
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines Okay, so which of the 750 active major-league players would you most like to see get beaned? That's the question Sports Illustrated asked players in its current issue. It might surprise you to know the answer is NOT Barry Bonds. It's none other than White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski, who received 18 percent of the vote in the survey that 470 players answered. The Giants left fielder was second at 14 percent, followed by Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez (6 percent) and Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez (5 percent). Pierzynski, just off an altercation with Cubs catcher Michael Barrett, who punched him in the face, drew more than 42 percent of the vote in the AL Central. He said he was unaware of the vote and had no comment.

ShoeLessRob
I'd actually like to see someone bean him instead of saying s***, they got no balls to back their decision up.

fullcollapse
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 24, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) Everyone loves AJ, they're just all jealous. and you would be right. who wouldn't want a guy who is going to play as hard as he can everyday and occasionally get in the other teams head. san francisco obviously didn't want him, and with what aj has done for the sox it just shows that the problem was the giants, not aj. Jim Spencer
Okay, so which of the 750 active major-league players would you most like to see get beaned? If I was voting, I'd vote Carlos Zambrano
Shamrock4Life
according to the times blurb on this some sox players voted for aj as a joke, they also speculated others did as well.
Kalapse
The hate for A-Rod especially comming out of New York is unbelievable. It seems a great deal of fans hate him for whatever reason, the guy has been the best player in the game since he came into the league so it might just be jealousy. I guess if a player is young, making a s*** load of money and good looking they're bound to be hated.
ChWRoCk2
Not surprising poll People who picked Aj were Twins fans, cub fans, angel fans, and all of america who saw aj in the whole drop third ordeal.

YASNY
If you take the 5 Sox players who voted "for" AJ and add the entire 25 man playoff roster of the Angels, that would account for a large portion of the AJ vote tally.

LVSoxFan
Did you guys see the Sun-Times this morning? The Sox are having a field day with this one, razzing AJ. Apparently most of them voted for him too (LOL!) and supposedly even HE voted for him! Funny.
