tigerfan
This is the start of something I will do as often as I can during this season since I'm sure you all have an interest in how the Tigers do, just as I have an interest in what the Sox do. Records coming into play: Cleveland: 23-23 (3rd in the Central, 9.5 games back of 1st) Detroit: 33-14 (1st in the Central, 1.5 game lead on the Sox) Pitching matchup: Cleveland: Jake Westbrook (4-2) (4.98 ERA) Detroit: Nate Robertson (4-2) (3.02 ERA) Tigers are coming off a 4 game sweep of the Royals in KC, and are riding a 6 game winning streak. Cleveland meanwhile is beginning to show some signs of life, coming off a 11-0 thrashing of the Twins in Minnesota, getting them back to the 500 mark. They are also looking to avenge a 3 game sweep at home at the hands of Tigers 2 weekends ago. Lineups to come. mmmmmbeeer
QUOTE(Brian @ May 26, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) Sabathia Man, Sqwerty missed an "are" in there. I thought you were implying that there was a lucky Tigers pitcher who went by the name "Captian Cheeseburger". I'm sitting here thinking why in the hell Maroth or Robertson would be nicknamed captain cheeseburger...lol Edited May 26, 2006 by mmmmmbeeer

tigerfan
Sizemore leads off and hits a double to the wall, tries to go to 3rd, and gets thrown out.
tigerfan
Indians with a little threat brewing in the 2nd. 1st and 2nd, 1 out, and Blake hitting. Make that 2 out, Blake popped out in foul ground.
witesoxfan
How awesome is Soxtalk where we openly accept a Tigers fan doing pbp of the Tigers-Indians game? I love it I personally couldnt care less who wins this game...Cleveland has proven over the past 2-3 years that they are a second half team, so the bigger the hole they dig themselves, the harder it will be to make up ground on two teams. On the other side, Detroit is the best team in the majors(record wise ), and so if they lose, woo hoo.
tigerfan
Robertson gets out of the inning with no damage. Still scoreless heading to the bottom of 2nd. Back to back singles to start us off in the 2nd. Thames stepping in. Thames doubles in Shelton, Monroe to 3rd. 1-0 Tigers. BTW, why are all my posts showing up in the same one? That's 3 now. tigerfan
Ah I see. Granderson singles, Shelton and Monroe both score. 3-0 with 2 outs. Polanco strikes out to end the inning.
whitesoxin'
So if I make a post now and then make another one right after that, they will combine? If so, I didn't know of this new feature. Is that it? Whoa!
tigerfan
Apparently so. There has to be a timeframe around it, because I made two posts in a row earlier, with the 2nd coming a good hour so I'd say after the 1st one, and they were separate. 2 out walk to Shelton by Westbrook. Nothing comes of it, as Monroe grounds out to end the 3rd.

tigerfan
Who's Rock? 1st and 2nd, 1 out for the Indians in the 6th. So much for the shutout. Peralta doubles down the right field line, and Maggs bobbles it. Both runners score and Peralta ends up at 3rd. 3-2 game now. Robertson holds him. 3-2, bottom 6.
