Milkman delivers
This is nerve-racking as hell. We could be winning this game like 10-2 right now.
BigSqwert
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:01 PM) I'd like to take this opportunity to comment about Cooper. In Seattle, Thornton s***s himself with this situation. In Chicago, he makes things work. I'm not as high on Coop as most people. Why can't he fix Judy and Cliff? Dick Allen
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) I am baffled. Besides Jenks, his options are pretty slim. I don't know if Toronto has a lefty on the bench, but if he brings in Nelson and Toronto pinch hits a lefty, the odds go to Toronto. If Politte comes in, if Toronto signs me and sends me to bat, the odds are in Toronto's favor.

southsideirish71
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:02 PM) I'm not as high on Coop as most people. Why can't he fix Judy and Cliff? Judy has no balls. Cliff has lost a few mph on his fastball. You look a lot better popping the mitt at 94-96 with a slider at 88. When you are at 90-91 and your slider is still at 88 there is not enough differential in those pitches.

Dick Allen
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:02 PM) I'm not as high on Coop as most people. Why can't he fix Judy and Cliff? Coop's a good pitching coach. He's not a miracle worker. He's just like most coaches and managers, they get way too much credit when things go right, and take on way too much blame when things are bad. Whitewashed in '05
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:02 PM) I'm not as high on Coop as most people. Why can't he fix Judy and Cliff? Theres only so much he can tell them. If they keep pitching outside, outside, outside nothings gonna help them.

Friend of Nordhagen
By the way, Thornton's 3.77 ERA is exactly the ERA that Damaso Marte had last year. Hmm.

greg775
Judy has balls, he's just a flake. If the Sox don't want a flake then they should trade him. I happen to think his performance last postseason earns him 5 more years in my mind. He was AWESOME.

Hmm. I dont think Thornton however is going to quit the team in September like Marte did. So we are better off.
