Kid Gleason
QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 26, 2006 -> 01:04 PM) You realize the s***load of cash the guy has probably made selling his tickets? No, he hasn't sold them on Stub Hub or anything, he's sold them at face value to friends and other people in the company. So he's made back what he has paid, basically. He's only saved himself emotional turmoil, which I guess is priceless in all reality.
southsider2k5
Once again. Melt this team down, start all over. There is no saving this team in its current state. Heck at least fire Dusty and see if that serves as a crashcart for this pathetic mess.
Harry Chappas
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 08:50 AM) Unfortunately I think you are dead on. Especially with Barrett coming back I can see their club really getting up for this series. We won't have the luxury of Jim and Paulie in the lineup at the same time. Plus we get Garland and Javy going for us which could be scary. These are my thoughts exactly and why I posted in the Vazquez thread that Garland and Vazquez need to set the tone. With Barett back their line-up is complete and they are throwing their three best pitchers. With Nevin in left that line-up is not that bad if Pierre can do anything. Unlike the last month, they will not be giving games away.

BigSqwert
Carlos Lee about to bat. Hit a HR in his last AB and Zambrano looked pissed. He may throw at him. Well that was uneventful.

34FG56MB52JC
Cubs in line to win their first home game in the last 9 tries. Leading 5-4 over Brewers in the top of the ninth. Don't misunderstand, I'm not really interested in whether the casual fans who can be swayed one way or the other like us or the Flubbs. My concern is with winning another championship. There is no prize for being X games better than that other team.

If the Sox finish 20 games better than the Cubs, I win a bet with a friend. And yes, tonight's Cubs loss was hyseterical. Good times, good times.
