OilCan
How happy was the trib's sports website happy to see the flubs win? The leadoff story is not about the World Champs, its about the north side minor league team. :banghead
NUKE_CLEVELAND
QUOTE(OilCan @ May 29, 2006 -> 06:38 PM) How happy was the trib's sports website happy to see the flubs win? The leadoff story is not about the World Champs, its about the north side minor league team. :banghead I can see that. After all the Flubbs are such losers that when they actually win a game it's a newsworthy event.
Brian
Mark Prior gave up three runs and four hits in two innings Monday in his start for Single-A Peoria. Prior struck out three while throwing 44 pitches. He was working in the 80s for the most part, but he did touch 90 mph in the second inning. "In these type of situations you're looking more for how your execution was, not so much what the outcome is," Prior said. "My main priority was to throw strikes and get ahead of guys predominantly with fastballs." Prior will make at least two more rehab starts before coming off the disabled list. whitesoxfan101
Prior is a few syringes short of that old 95 MPH fastball he threw in the past. Maybe he'll find it, but those velocity reports should terrify Cubs fans.

lukeman89
i heard on 670AM today that the cardinals and another team that im forgetting have a higher OBP at their #9 spot (the pitcher spot) in their batting order than Juan Pierre has as the cubs leadoff man
whitesoxfan101
Fun random stat of the day: The Cubs are 4-21 on WGN this year. Even more fun random stat of the day: The Cubs have lost 18 consecutive games televised on WGN. Pretty mind boggling considering they are what, 22-36? I mean that would make them 18-15 for non WGN games.

Phuck the Cubs
so why isnt barrett suspended yet? If Barrett drops his appeal right before the Cubs start their Interleague and serves then, I'm going to be so pissed.

Kalapse
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) Why? He probably for what ever reason feels the Sox will seek vengence, of course he's completely wrong.

Vengence would lead to suspensions for us, so it's stupid....and if we were looking for blood, it would have happened on that Sunday game. Phuck the Cubs
Why? B/c excatly what Ken Williams said in the papers: He beats us on Sunday, Detriot plays them undermanned, we face them at full strength (forget about Lee for the time being). This ends up hurting us.
