NUKE_CLEVELAND
Well well well. That's 2 starts in a row that Count got screwed out of a win. This guy should be 7-0 right now. MB was the one getting screwed over by the offense and the rest of the team in years past.........now that has passed to Count.
nitetrain8601
I agree. That sucks alooooootttttttttt for Count. He's dominating and his offense can't pick him up.
greg775
He definitely got hosed over again. Hope the team goes out and gets hammered tonight and forgets this sorry effort.
Milkman delivers
Like I said in the game thread, this has been happening since last year. Count got f***ed over a lot last year. I guess I'll use this thread to reiterate the point about Uribe since it will only piss people off to start a new one. Juan Uribe is absolute horses***. He NEEDS to be benched for about a week because he's such a f***ing idiot. He sucks, and at least BA can get a walk. He needs to know that he isn't SS-for-life. And if you're going to say something about him having 2 hits today, remember that the one hit came because Mack saved his ass by getting to 2nd in time to break up the force out. Gregory Pratt
QUOTE(greg775 @ May 27, 2006 -> 06:49 PM) He definitely got hosed over again. Hope the team goes out and gets hammered tonight and forgets this sorry effort. They need another pep talk like the one Ozzie gave them when they were sucking in the Spring. And it's a shame that Contreras is pitching for Wins and Cy Youngs but getting hosed by shoddy defense and poor offense.

You're preaching to the choir on that one my friend. I dont think you'll find anyone on this board that thinks that Uribe doesn't need some time riding the pine. His 2 hits today are his usual weekly output and I don't expect anything more from him till next weekend.

Yeah, and he was half-assing his run to first on one of his outs. He could've been safe had he run like someone other than Konerko.
Kalapse
Contreras had 5 starts in April last year, he put up a 3.04 ERA and a .200 BAA, his record? 0-

chitownsportsfan
The only thing sad about this is that CY YOUNG voters use "wins" as a measure of success. Once we get away from meaningless stats counting in the voting, then this won't matter at all. I'm not sad for Count, I'm sad the team isn't winning well pitched ballgames. Kalapse
I'd say Freddy Garcia is easily the AL Cy Young front runner as of right now.
SSH2005
I'd say Freddy Garcia is easily the AL Cy Young front runner as of right now. I hope so. Then we can trade him for a haul of players next offseason.
