QUOTE(Dick Allen @ May 30, 2006 -> 07:35 PM)
He isn't eligible for Free Agency until 2008, so tough s*** if he wants to close. If he pitched as well as he did before he started struggling, he probably would close. Lots of things happen in 3 seasons.

Eh. We'd definitely be taking a risk, cause it might piss him off, but he sure as hell wouldn't be a closer here. Plus, who knows if he ever gets back to the way he was. It's all moot though, cause I doubt they'd trade him now, knowing they wouldn't get very much at all for him.

As opposed to all of the other consistent pictures? I didn't realize there was some type of rule to posting pictures.

There isn't.

Just noticed through this thread you've attached photos to your posts. Most people usually don't do that, but hey, you can continue post Man Show pictures if you want.

One of the worst innings of our season. We better be seeing Pods lead off the inning, and AJP batting in the 9th off of Wickman.

i cant remember the last time the sox actually hit wickman, i just remember the second game of the season of last yr when pk and dye hit homers.

i wanna see this lineup 2morrow:

pods

cintron-ss

thome

konerko

dye

aj

crede

mack

ozuna-2b

Bah, leadoff man on. Run would hurt very bad, assuming we go with the solo homer attack in the 9th.

Typically that has been the strategy this year whenever we are down a run..... :headshake

I agree its a longshot, even moreso if the Sox wouldn't give up one or 2 of their top prospects. But there have been rumors he may be available, and with Clemens getting $10.5 million for 3 months, they may want to dump some salary, especially if they think he can't get back to where he was in Houston.

That's quite a scary middle infield defense, and not in a good way.

If Freddy pitches like he did last outing, Ozzie should get his best defenders bleacher seats.

nah freddy was probably just tipping his pitches

Agreed....and Ozzie usually likes to have his best defense in the field for when Garcia pitches.

whos pitching 2morrow, westbrook?

wickman 7/7 in save chances, thats gotta change.

wow, weve beat ourselves sooooooo many times this year.
