 from what i seen from him, hes a terrible fundemental player. he misses signs, doesnt get the bunt down all the time, jezz cub fans cant stand him. sure he would be an upgrade over bA:anyone would be

I was not serious about Hairston, but maybe I should be. It doesn't take much to be an upgrade on Anderson. But going into a FA year, Juan Pierre could be fire sale material.

I understand the stealing thing. However, I think you would agree that the best plan would have been to take enough pitches for Pods to try and get into 2nd base. But like you said, Cintron had a terrible plan at the plate, and it was a big factor in the overall outcome. What do you think should be done about Anderson?

I agree with Podsednik going for the stolen base. Then Cintron would've tried to get him over to 3rd and he has not had a good approach at the plate as you mention. He didn't get the job done in the real situation and I doubt he would've gotten it done in our Monday morning QB situation. Bad. And Mackowiak just got aced, he was expecting anything but that curveball. Mackowiak got out thought.

Anderson is overmatched, plain and simple. They can either live with it or not. If they send him down you need someone who can play a good CF 5-6 days per week. They don't have anyone within the org. and they need someone who hits RH so I think they'll stick with him only because they haven't much other choice.

At this point it's still very tough to pull a trade. Gload is a good guy, etc. but his roster spot is being wasted. They need a pain in the ass utility OF who can play good defense. You can bet they're talking about their options though ... Anderson did not show well at the plate tonite, again. He is totally befuddled.
