Dick Allen
QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 07:41 PM) Why would anyone, meaning from the team, bother? He's had only two bad starts all year. Last start he was tatooed, and he's getting hit tonight as the league adjusts to his adjustment. The way guys run at will against him, Freddy isn't the kind of pitcher who will be effective in the long run giving up a lot of hits. Guys just don't drop that much velocity unless they A. stopped using steroids. B. Perhaps aren't under the influence of greenies C. Have some sort of injury or D. Father time has caught up to him. He's obviously won using this style so far, but I don't think it can last. He needs his fastball.
MSHAWKS
Now that this game is over, does anyone know the pitching match-ups for the weekend series against Texas?
southsideirish71
In Jakes last 3 starts. Against Detroit 5.1 innings 7 hits 7 runs He shut down the Royals and their mighty O over 9 innings but before that they rocked him for 8 runs in 5.2 innings. So oddly people are hitting him, just not us tonight.

We suck tonight, but that was obvious. Just like last night. Edited June 1, 2006 by jphat007
