please.

Anderson is hitting .164 with 2 doubles as we turn the calendar to June.

He's unlikely to smell .200, much less .225 by September.

he needs to take the next flight to Charlotte.

And our centerfield defense will be beyond brutal with Mackowiak out there full-time.

We'll lose more games because of bad defense than we will because of BA.

Not comparing him to this player is no way cuz its wrong BUT....Anderson is kinda like Henry Blanco....He is an amazing defensive player and struggles with the bat...But one difference is that BLANCO SUX

Um, Ok. I think I'll ignore that.

Amazing?

now he's Jim Edmunds.

sorry, but I haven't seen the evidence of that.

Top 10 defensive centerfielder in the game already.

if you're hitting .164, you'd better be more like Top One.

plus, can you imagine how badly folks would be dogging Crede or Dye or Iguchi if they were hitting .164?

why do people give this kid so much slack?

He's been horrible for two months. It's nearly June, time for serious baseball.

It ain't working.

Maybe we should get some suggestions as to who the Sox should get to play centerfield?

Erstad?

Hunter?

At this point I don't see many options out there.

We could always put Podsednik out there. That'd be brilliant.

He's been so solid on defense, but just like his supporters want to give him a few more months with the bat before they call him as brutal as he is, I wanna see him out there longer with the glove doing what he's been doing consistently before I call him amazing.

I personally don't think BA being in the line-up is costing the White Sox wins. I think KW should use all his resources on the bullpen, but one CF who might be available at a reasonable price and could probably give you 2005 Aaron Rowand offensive production and has a decent glove is Gary Matthews Jr.

Matthews would be fine.

I doubt Texas would trade him, though, considering they believe they can win the division.

I don't think he's needed, but he's actually been halfway productive the last couple of seasons, and is hitting .308 this year with a .374 obp, a .547 slugging pct. which means his ops will pencil out to an excellent .921, plus he is better than average defensively and hits from both sides of the plate. Last year he had a higher ops than Rowand although Aaron had a .009 advantage in obp. They were pretty similar offensively.

I'll take one poor at bat out of nine for good defense in centerfield anyday.

Unfortunatly it's not one poor at bat it's two, with Juan (I don't need no silly leg kick) Uribe setting the table for Mr. Anderson.

^^^

One sub-Mendoza Line hitter at the end of a lineup is tolerable. Two isn't.

If we can't get somebody really cheap (like Sarge Jr.), we're better off just dealing with a BA/Mack platoon in CF. Anything in the minors that's of appreciable value should be spent on the 'pen.

I wouldn't even spring for an airline ticket. I'd make him Greyhound his ass back to the minors.

I think if Brian made more Rowand or webgem catches people would think more of his D.

Because the man gets good jumps so he can just camp under a ball of get it on a jog, people aren't thinking he's as good as Rowand. He catches stuff Rowand would've had to dive for and he makes throws Aaron couldn't have.

Would people send down Aaron if he was hitting .160?
