Apparently Verlander doesn't pitch the same to the Sox and Yankees as he does to the Royals. 6-3 Yanks.

He just gave up a walk as well and now its 1st and 2nd with nobody out.

It's nice to see him get his ass handed to him

I was getting tired of hearing about how great he is.

After the Jiambi blast, he has thrown 8 straight balls to the next 2 batters. :P

Get used to it, you're going to hear it a lot more in upcoming years.

I'm still not convinced he is the next great thing.

I still like Felix and Liriano as the two best young starters in the AL.

After all, Felix is just 20.

7-3 2.55 ERA 39 k's 16 BBs 1.10 WHIP for a rookie is pretty damn good.

Look at the park he's pitching in.

He will also easily reach a career high in innings this year so we'll see how he's doing in September in the heat of a race.

That is if the Tigers aren't 10 back by then.

Hasn't helped Bonderman as much...I'm not saying he is the greatest thing since sliced bread....but he has good stuff and has a good fastball. Liriano will probably be better though. They both help out my fantasy team a LOT this year...considering where I drafted them.

1.73 era on the road, 3.52 at home.

Whatever the case may be, he won't keep it up all year.

He's a nice story for right now though.

And will be good for years to come. I'm still not sold that he is GREAT though.

I seem to remember the Sox knocking him around when they got a chance at him.
