Dick Allen
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 06:44 PM) Are we forgetting that Pods played CF in Milwaukee? Give me something more to understand our seemingly unbending certainity that Pods can't play CF. What were his fielding stats in the Beer Town? He wasn't a very good CF in Milwaukee, and didn't look very good in CF the couple games he played there last year. Keep him in LF.

elrockinMT
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 11:46 PM) He wasn't a very good CF in Milwaukee, and didn't look very good in CF the couple games he played there last year. Keep him in LF. Granted he doesn't look good at times in LF, but playing the corners is a bit different than roaming CF where his speed can make up for mistakes. aboz56
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) Granted he doesn't look good at times in LF, but playing the corners is a bit different than roaming CF where his speed can make up for mistakes. He doesn't have the range or instincts to be a stud out there. He doesn't get good enough reads to even let his speed make up for things. He's not a solid option out there IMO. Dick Allen
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) Granted he doesn't look good at times in LF, but playing the corners is a bit different than roaming CF where his speed can make up for mistakes. He can play CF for a bad team. On a team expected to be good, if he's in CF, he's going to need some help. His instincts in the OF aren't the best. Balta1701
51 pitches in 2 innings for J.C. Today may be a good day for a McCarthy sighting. Sadly, there haven't been nearly enough of those. Edited June 1, 2006 by Balta1701

Dick Allen
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) Jose still looks different, but gets the job done. LETS PUT A HURT ON BYRD.... I agree. Something has to be bothering him. Hopefully, its a cold or a flu. Not something structural.
aboz56
Wow we might see B-Mac tonight. Let's see if the Sox can manage to use him correctly tonight for once this season. It's all a part of their dysfunctional development plan for Brandon.
