Felix
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:02 PM) You can. I sure as hell won't. We're not paying Garland 8 million to give up 1 run every inning pitched during starts. Thats for sure. We are giving him 7!

Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(tigerfan @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 08:04 PM) Interesting stat here on Maggs. First stolen base since September 2003. When the contract was signed several years ago I thought it was a terrible move. He had no knee, and the deal was structured specifically where if Ordonez played a certain amout of games over 05'/06' it extended several years beyond at 10+ million. And as I recall, the games necessary to be played weren't above 120 in either season. Detroit may still regret it, but atleast Ordonez has shown himself capable of producing at a high level again. Guest JimH
FWIW, Jered Weaver has pitched 13 shutout innings since he's been called up. He has 8K's against the Tribe tonight after 6. Cleveland fans have got to be as pissed as we are. Indians have been maddeningly inconsistent. They are jacked up about taking 3 of 4 from the White Sox, and then lay an egg the very next nite. fathom
Garland just has no chance against these hitters of keeping them down. For a sinker ball pitcher, he throws way too many pitches up in the zone.
