Flash Tizzle
Prior to this week, I made a habit of browsing this forum to check up on the progress of our minor league teams. I could always count on a thread dated, for example, "5/27" with summaries of games and performances from noteable players. I liked it. Very simple. Now, I have to manually search individual teams' websites and.....unfortunately, WSI. I had no idea Lumsden was given the Felix Diaz treatment last week because no one reported on it. DO YER JOB, Futuresox!!!!

So, is this what happens when a supposed control pitcher with no stuff fails? Broadway can't afford to walk 7 batters over 18 innings, yet alone 4.2. If anyone were to watch Rheinecker and Buehrle battle alongside each other this afternoon, they'd realize control is everything for soft tossers. Hell, does Broadway even hit above 86 mph? Both would have Lance beat in the velocity department if he doesn't. Without velocity and control, Broadway is simply batting practice. Needs to avoids starts such as those. Broadway throws in the low 90's and upper 80's and has a curveball thats superior to anything Buehrle throws. Not saying he'll be better than Buehrle, there are a lot of guys in this game with 4 better pitches than Buerhle has that don't even come close to being as good as Mark.
