Series Preview: White Sox vs. Tigers

By Anthony Mazzuca

When looking at the schedule in March, this was just another three game series. It's now June, and the showdown with the Detroit Tigers is the biggest series the Sox have had thus far. The Sox currently stand 2.5 games back, and with these two teams not meeting again until mid July, this is a huge series for both clubs. MORE

While I think these previews are nice and a good addition to this site, the people who write them need to be more objective.

This is a primarily Sox site, not a baseball site generally. And its actually more objective than any of the other Sox boards, IMHO.

Perhaps we can get Hawk Harrelson to write up the next one. Can you imagine how that would look?

We need to get out there and start playing like defending champs again and this is a good place to start. We sweep these motherf***ers and we not only get 1st back but a huge amount of momentum as well.

Here's your series preview: both teams have been playing like absolute s*** as of late. The Tigers can't pitch, the White Sox forgot how to catch the ball. A week and a half ago, I thought these two would meet in the ALCS, they've certainly come back down to earth.

Because the Sox seem to own Detroit lately, I'll say they take two of three, but this :huh baseball needs to stop.
