Jimbo's Drinker
I watched the D2 championship with Cruz, the kid is an absolute hit machine. he has an ability to hit to all parks and the announcers said he is one of the best prospects to come out of D2 in a long time. santo=dorf
QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He is considered a tough sign out of his scholorship with Purdue. My guess is he goes to college. I'm hearing he's signing, and I have a damn close source on this one.
NYSox35
QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 08:26 PM) Well, I just got back from my high school graduation. You might ask what relevance that has to the draft, and I'll tell you Right before we were going to walk in, someone in my class, Ryan Kalish, was drafted by the Red Sox with the 283rd pick (9th round) in the draft. I guess he had been told before that they were going to pick him, and naturally pulled a Red Sox hat out of his pocket. All of the seniors went crazy of course, and lets just say this graduation was rather memorable As a White Sox fan #1 and Yankees #2, I absolutely hate the Red Sox. However, that is a pretty kickass story...I can just imagine the scene. Oh, and congrats on graduation.
Rex Hudler
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 12:25 PM) It's weird seeing these guys younger than me. You think that's weird? Try these on for size! Kipp Schutz and Adam Rogers played in the Little League I used to coach in. Preston Mattingly played in a crosstown league and I saw him in all-stars often. Nathan Arnold who did not get drafted, but will likely sign as a free agent this week was the best pitcher on my team as a 12 yr old. The catch is that last time I saw these guys: Schutz (26th round draftee) was 8 years old. Mattingly (31st pick overall) was 8 years old. Arnold and Rogers (31st round pick) were 12 years old. I am not sure how this happened, because I am no older than I was then!
