spiderman
The Sox still view Brian Anderson as their long-term solution in center. Rather than acquire a big name like Hunter, they could seek a right-handed platoon partner for Rob Mackowiak — someone like the Phillies' Shane Victorino, a switch-hitter, or Orioles' Luis Matos ... greg775
Intersting. Anderson sure does look good in a uniform. He looks sort of like Mickey Mantle. He just has shown no ability to hit. Maybe he'll bust loose. We can pray.
AngelasDaddy0427
Why would they keep playing Mack if they had a guy like Victorino...
Dick Allen
It would be a mistake to have Mack play CF more than once or twice a week. The ball will find him.
DBAHO
I think Philly would rather trade Burrell or Abreu and let Victorino take over. Victorino's cheap, and if you move one of the other 2 OF's, Pat Gillick can put more money towards his SP in the off-season, or in a trade now. Matos is definitely more realistic than Corey Patterson. I don't really see how he would be an upgrade over say Brady Clark though.
