RockRaines
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 02:29 PM) Heath, as long as we have a common enemy in the Cubs, you can always call the White Sox friends. Thanks for the info. I loved Cincinnati when I have been their on business in the past. This time, only leisure. Reds fans are generally good people too. They are my NL team for sure. You guys will love the park.

Guest JimH
Just read this thread, and the poster from Cincinnati, Heath, is a perfect example of a Cincy baseball fan. Knowledgeable, well spoken, friendly, loves his city. I hope all of you that are going get a chance to mingle with the locals, both in the ballpark and in the local establishments. aboz56
Anyone know if its common practice for most clubs to release addtional tickets the day of a game? (I know the Sox have from time to time.) The Reds don't have anything left at all for Sunday except UD according to their website. Might have to go the scalper route at the park that day. On Friday, we're in 134 and on Saturday we're going to be in 415.

On Friday, we're in 134 and on Saturday we're going to be in 415. I know the Cubs, Yankees and Red Sox do. Along with the Sox. I would imagine the Reds would. You may want to check a day or 2 before on the internet, sometimes they release them early. I don't know what the scalping scene is around there, but if its anything like USCF, you can score sweet seats well below face value. aboz56
So I guess its better to wait and see than overpay now?
Heath
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 13, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) So I guess its better to wait and see than overpay now? Scalper laws are wierd in Cincy - you can't buy them on the grounds - your best bet is to show up and cross the main street over into downtown if you want to scalp. UD seats, while not the "prime seats" isn't a bad deal - and the views of the entire stadium are quite nice. It doesn't have the "steep" look of the Cell. I went to the Sox/Sox series in July last year and felt I was way up there in Sec. 514. I don't think that the Reds seats seem that high. Friday's family night in Cincinnati. Lotsa kids and parents that night. Great for rears in seats & ice cream vendors. Bad for Beer sales. You've been warned.

SoxFan1
Although I won't be there this weekend, I went to a Reds/Marlins game at the Great American Ballpark in it's inaugural season in 2003. It's a beautiful stadium and the view of the river out over the concourse in right/right-center is beautiful. You guys will enjoy it. santo=dorf
QUOTE(Huber14 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> anyone think there will be alot of White Sox fans like there was when the Cubs played at the Reds??? I think there will be more than you expect, but not like the Cubs crowd. Oh yeah, we're nowhere near as obnoxious as the loatheable loseres. I was surprised to see a number of Sox fans in San Diego last year.
