southsider2k5
Like I said earlier, i hope Clemens gives Sammy the brushback early. He will own him after that.

southsider2k5
Hee Sop Choi just got knocked out cold in a collision with Kerry Wood. As he fell his head bounced off of the dirt on the foul/fair line HARD. It was ugly and he is still laying on the ground.
Chisoxfn
It sucked. Wood struck out Matsui.
Rex Hudler
It sucked. Wood struck out Matsui. Twice. On the check swing and then on the 2-2 curveball. This has been one hell of a game and has lived up to the hype in my mind. I was somewhat surprised that Wood didn't fall apart after the Choi injury. I was somewhat surprised that Wood didn't fall apart after the Choi injury. Yep. Wood made two awesome pitches and got hosed. To think, this would be a scoreless game. Wood is so damn good, so is Rocket. These are the kind of games I love to watch.
Chisoxfn
Sosa rips a one out single off of Clemens.
Rex Hudler
Choi gets hurt, Clemens comes out, Karrons hits 3-run bomb. 3-1 Cubs. #300 will have to wait.
Chisoxfn
That was great, truly great
Rex Hudler
Bad thing is, I was taping it, hoping to add Clemens #300 to Nolan Ryan's 300 in my collection.

The Critic
Yeah, f*** Roger Clemens. :fyou And f*** the Spankees. :fyou Clemens is a dick. I'd like for him to NEVER win another game and retire stuck at 299.
SI1020
Root for the White Sox and whoever plays the cubs.
Rex Hudler
Wood is still throwing 96-97 in the 8th, although he is laboring. He just walked Jeter to load the bases with 2 outs and is coming back. Can the Cubs bullpen fare better than the Yanks?
The Critic
Root for the White Sox and whoever plays the cubs. I hate the Spankees more than I could ever hate the Cubs.
Rex Hudler
Wow, Remlinger struck out Giambi with a full count and the bases loaded on a changeup!
sox-r-us
PHUCK THE SPANKEES I HATE THOSE BA$TARDS TOO And say what you all want, fellas, but the Cubs have a lot going for them If Sosa gets back to swinging even decently, and if they get Lowell from the Marlins, this team could go deep in Oct Their pitching is awesome....... I wish we had a the bullpen they have.....fantastic Not to mention they have a manager who will make everyone better Sorry guys, but the Cubs are ten times the team we are right now and their future is only going to get better as most of their stars are young Man Kerry is good ...... and to think some Sox fans were comparing Garland last year to Kerry......no way
SI1020
I hate the Spankees more than I could ever hate the Cubs. The yanks ruined many a day for me as a kid, but the cubs have overtaken everybody on my baseball enemies list. I just loathe every thing about them and that whole Wrigley scene. Too bad they both can't lose today.
sox-r-us
Maybe they can kill each other like they beat Choi outta there Just kidding

I just loathe every thing about them and that whole Wrigley scene. Too bad they both can't lose today. While the dopey nature of many Cub fans and the bias of the local yokel media ( both real and perceived ) is frustrating, the sheer arrogance of the Spankees and their cult members is more than I can take. Their attitude of entitlement, and the basic NY "I'm better than you cuz I'm from NY" mindset, make them unbearable to me. The Spanks are the first professional sports team I ever disliked - i was a big Reggie jackson fan when he was with the A's and Orioles, but when he wore the Pinstriped Suit Of Arrogance, I suddenly disliked him. Didn't understand it then...
SI1020
Earlier the play by play guy, it's Joe Buck isn't it, said that Sosa was "everything that's right about baseball." :puke As much as I dislike the yanks they have always had a commitment to winning.
