Rich Aurilia's line against RHP -

.222/.260/.311/.571

He's our cleanup hitter.

We should be crying.

Plus he's like 4 for his last 25 since he took over 3b for an injured Edwin Encarnacion.

Brian is obviously going deep tonite.

Just like Gload and his 3 hits one of which being a HR?

Why the widge again??

It could have something to do with Freddy's great success with Widge behind the plate. Claussen is also a lefty and left hand hitters are batting .151 against him.

I have absolutely no idea. He's hitting .178 against lefties and and .136 in June.

Also pablo has a 1.112 OPS in 50 ABs vs lefties this season. :o

Freddy has pitched against Cincy once in his career and shut em out for 8 innings whle K'ing 7. Don't know when or where it was played though.

that was probably when freddy was actually throwing hard and was good.....hes pitched good against the nl and the cubs this year...hopefully he does well today

Freddy HAS to take advantage when he's ahead in the count. Far too often, it's one of two scenarios:

1. He goes 0-2 or 1-2 and then won't throw another strike.

2. He just falls behind 2-1 or 3-1.

We need a guy that tries to finish. A lot of batters won't chase when it's been established you won't throw a strike in a situations.
