JohnStamos
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/powerRankings Those mighty, mighty, three over .500 D-Backs are better than the White Sox because they played a tougher schedule? Those NL West teams are surely better than the AL teams that actually have to play quality teams on a daily basis (minus KC)...

beautox
i love the fact that hes sippin on some Yankee Kool-Aid by saying "The Yankees — owners of the best offense in the game ", im sorry but the best offense in the game has to goto the Blue(Black) Jays. Dayn Perry = Douche Bag and on a related Blue Jay note: Vernon Wells struck out 4 times tonight and went 0-4, first time in his career and against none other than the Florida Marlins Scott Olsen. AngelasDaddy0427
Overall, Chicago has played the weakest schedule of all, but they’re in a tough stretch right now. Wow how stoned is this guy... has he even seen the Tigers schedule... Our schedule has rough compared with theirs... Then again I guess we haven't faced the great Yankees and Red Sox yet... RX Bandits
the dbacks got their asses handed to them on a silver platter by the mets a few games ago. we have pretty much taken care of the tigers so far this season. i can MAYBE understand having the mets ahead of everyone else. but cmon the dbacks!!! apparently strenght of schedule determins how good you are.....you know not actual wins. yet based on this "strength of schedule crap wouldnt that actually make the dbacks worse because the NL sucks? dumbass. and why are the drays 29th on this list? that really have not played that bad. drays > pirates, marlins, nationals Edited June 17, 2006 by RX Bandits

I agree, Perry is much worse than Mariotti, which is hard to imagine. No matter what the topic, there is always a negative White Sox spin on it. From Pods to Konerko to his post season predictions. Then once he realizes he is completely wrong, he changes his stance.

beautox
QUOTE(RX Bandits @ Jun 17, 2006 -> 02:07 AM) drays > pirates, marlins, nationals I wouldn't say the D-Rays are better than the Marlins at all, since May 22nd the Marlins are tied for the best record in baseball with the Mets. They just took game one of their series against the blue jays, Vernon Wells struck out 4 times going 0-4, first time ever in his career against Scott Olsen. If anything the Marlins should be # 1 or # 2, they've got the best team ERA for June and Dan Uggla is putting up the same #'s as Chase Utley. Also believe it or not but the Marlins are good and might even be in the hunt for the WC with or without Joe Borowski, Tankersly has taken over closing for them and they're 8 1/2 games out in the wildcard. For a little comparison. '05 Astros record at this time was 25-35, and they were written off, but they made it all the way to the world series. '03 Marlins record at this time was 29-34, and they were 13.5 games behind in the WC. That team won the WS. They were predicted to win the NL East. '06 Marlins 27-37, this team is extremely talented and loaded in pitching depth in ways that would make K-Dub drool. When they deal Borowski + Moehler + [insert name of pitching prospect, possibly Mitre] they will most likely get their CF of the future aka Chris Denorfia the deal makes a ton of sense on both ends. Denorfia is blocked in the reds OF and they need bullpen help asap. As for the final member of the Marlins rotation just plug in any of these names Harvey Garcia/Anibal Sanchez/Yusmeiro Petit/Renyel Pinto Something about The WildCard and The Marlins = WS And for an unrelated note, remember a certain US hockey team from 1980? nothing is impossible . Kyyle23
The Sox are in the midst of a 32-game run that sees them play the Indians, Rangers, A’s, Tigers, Astros, Blue Jays and Cardinals and Reds. Thus far, they’re 12-10 against those teams Im really surprised that no one called this out yet Sox record vs listed teams DET 5-1 CLE 5-7 TOR 4-2 OAK 3-0 TEX 4-3 CIN 1-0 22-13 Not to mention the Sox havent played the Astros or Cardinals yet, so its kind of hard to put those teams on this list

Our schedule has rough compared with theirs... Then again I guess we haven't faced the great Yankees and Red Sox yet... How exactly has the White Sox schedule been rough compared to Detroits? From my prospective Chicago and Detroit have played similar schedules except the Sox have yet to face two of the best teams in the league. Home games vs. road games is the same. Here is the breakdown: TB- Det. 3, Chi. 3 Tor- Det. 3, Chi 6 KC- Det 8, Chi 9 Tex- Det 4, Chi 7 Cle- Det 10, Chi 10 Oak- Det 3, Chi 3 Sea- Det 3, Chi 5 LAA- Det 5, Chi 5 Cubs- Det 1, Chi 3 Min- Det 9, Chi 7 Balt- Det 2, Chi 0 Cin- Det 3, Chi 1 NYY- Det 4, Chi 0 Bos- Det 3, Chi 0 I see Detroit playing 7 games against the 2 best teams in the east and Chicago has yet to play them. Detroits played 2 more against Minnesota and the Sox 1 more against the worst team in baseball and 2 more against that western powerhouse, Seattle. Detroit has 3 down against Cincinnatti to the Sox 1, while the Sox have 3 against the Cubs to Detroits 1. The schedules are pretty much similar except for the glaring fact that Chicago has yet to play any games against 2 of the best teams in baseball. So quit with the homer bulls***. I bet after 162 games youd still be spouting how Detroits schedule was easier when in reality Chicagos had the easier go of it already in this season. Detroits for real. They arent going away. Wheres the June swoon you all forcasted? Has it been delayed until July or August? Has the pitching come to earth like you all said it would? Come back to reality. The Sox are in for a dog fight all season. And I dont think thier bullpen is up to the task.

loltrain
What a ridiculous list, the DBacks just had a horrible losing streak and they're ahead of Chicago?!?!?!?! Although, whoever said Chicago has had a much rougher schedule than Detroit is wrong, at least up until this past 4 or 5 games yours had been much easier. Edit: So far Detroit is 21st in strength of schedule, which admittedly isn't very impressive, but Chicago is 28th. chitownsportsfan
I don't even understand how you would go about determining how the White Sox schedule compares to say, the Diamondbacks, or any AL/NL teams for that matter. For the most part, the two leagues are mutually exclusive, and the AL is almost univerally considered to be much tougher. So, have the Tigers, who have played an "easy" schedule in the AL, would that be considered "middle of the road", or "tough" in the NL? Perry is an idiot, and I believe he's a Royals fan, which might explain it. There's a reason he isn't writing for BP or ESPN and has instead been banished to Fox Sports.
