maggsmaggs
Cliff pitched well (by looking at the box): 1.2 innings, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO, 35 pitches. He could have been more efficient, but hopefully when we read the papers tomorrow, they will say his velocity was good. Flash Tizzle
I'm glad Lumsden pitched well, but only one strikeout?
maggsmaggs
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 06:59 PM) I'm glad Lumsden pitched well, but only one strikeout? Lummy is an enigma, he's got such good stuff, yet his K rate is relatively low. But on the flip side, he has had some control problems in the past and his walk rate is down as well. BHAMBARONS
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 04:59 PM) I'm glad Lumsden pitched well, but only one strikeout? Today's game was an enigma with the heat index in the mid 110's and those older stuffy uniforms on, he needed to keep that PC low which is what he did. Tennessee also swung at a lot of 1st pitches with out much of success. Lummy also pitching after Lance Broadway who ruffled some feathers by hitting 2 batters in succession then his last was thrown over the batters head and it was someone he already hit in the game. So Lummy had to be careful about the inside of the plate. All in all that was a great effort under those conditions
