atrain081
"Break up the Twins? Minnesota won 10 of 12 and, in the process, surged into second place in the AL Central. It’s the resurgent pitching staff that deserves the credit. The Twins’ ERA for April was 6.28; for May it was 4.19, and for June it’s 3.26. ‘Nuff said." Heh, I guess he forgot that he ranked Detroit and Chicago in the top three, unless he's trying to imply that the race is already over, which is pretty ridiculous. Either way, this guy really does need the boot or something. Perry's idiocy

hammerhead johnson
Keep your eye on Curtis Granderson as a dark-horse MVP candidate I couldn't read past the Tigers bit. Granderson is a nice young player, but he'd be lucky to finish Top 25 in AL MVP voting given the fact that he is relatively unknown outside of Detroit. Could he realistically finish ahead of any of these guys? Nick Swisher Ichiro Suzuki Troy Glaus Alex Rios Vernon Wells Jim Thome Paul Konerko Joe Crede Jermaine Dye Victor Martinez Travis Hafner Grady Sizemore Ivan Rodriguez Magglio Ordonez Manny Ramirez David Ortiz Alex Rodriguez Derek Jeter Jason Giambi Johnny Damon Eric Chavez Carl Crawford Miguel Tejada Corey Patterson Joe Mauer Vladimir Guerrero Ramon Hernandez Orlando Cabrera Michael Young Hell, even that Youkilis dude. Corey Patterson is my darkhorse MVP candidate. Edited June 23, 2006 by hammerhead johnson
rangercal
I can't figure any point in the season where I would have ranked us as low as 7th ( our lowest ranking)
NUKE_CLEVELAND
QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 01:51 AM) I can't figure any point in the season where I would have ranked us as low as 7th ( our lowest ranking) I can't figure how the Mets are the best team in the NL right now. They are easily the best team in the NL East but thats about it. How on earth do they rank above the Sox? Id like to see what the Sox do to them head to head. Both notions are utterly laughable. Gregory Pratt
After what we did to St. Louis, there's no reason not to have us as the number one in the rankings this week.

No, I don't get it, because if I was an MLB writer, I wouldn't want people ripping my baseball thoughts to shreds and making me feel like a complete f***ing moron. It's completely different with Mariotti. He ain't stupid. He's just an insufferable prick. This Perry guy is most definitely NOT cut out for what he does. They’ve benefited from a generally weak schedule, but they’ll play 10 games against the Yankees, Red Sox and Mets before the break. Josh Willingham’s return from the DL will help. " They Swept the Blue Jays!!!!!, One of the best teams in the AL, they took 2/3 for the O's who beat the Mets, i think its pretty apparent at this juncture in time, the Marlins should be #2 on the list, and the sox should be #
