Did Iguchi make history?

I think the history was that the White Sox became the first team since 1993 to hit grand slams in three consecutive games, but I might be wrong about that.

this is true. it was shown on a lovely espn graphic, a few minutes before the end of the game.

the only thing i have seen is a side note from elias in the game recap on espn. it says iguchi is the sixth player in the last 25 years to hit homeruns in the 8th and 9th of a game that went to extra innings. it doesn't list the other players or games, so i can't check the box score. i would have to think that the odds of them being a 3 run homer and a grand slam are low though.

I don't remember that? What did he do??

:o Does nobody else remember this?

It was the first sign of his clutchness.

Two run homer in the 9th to tie it, Grand Slam in the 10th to win it.

Do you have a link for that? I've been curious about that for some time, but never knew where to find the information.

I remember seeing it on baseball tonight or sportscenter a few days ago when Ortiz hit his walk off. And yes he's tied for third.

What ever happened to Tatis, I know he was on the expos and Cards and just disappeared, minor leagues or retired Im assuming. I always liked him because he looked like a monkey.

I think he was a 'roider. He fell fast after 34 homers in 1999, and ended up with only 90 for his career. How can he have just one random good year? It appears he couldn't stay healthy, but still..

There was a game several years ago at Wrigley with the wind blowing out, that the Phillies won 23-22 or something crazy like that. I believe Mike Schmidt had a monster game that day. I don't recall the details of it though. Schmidt might have hit 4 dingers in that game.

Another game where late inning longball heroics came into play was the game Sandburg went deep off of Sutter twice. Once in the 9th and then again in extras, I believe. Don't know about RBI totals there though.
