Then I suppose the only FAIR way is to trade off year by year like they had done for YEARS.

 

It doesn't matter to me -- it won't affect me until the Sox are in the WS, which may not be for a while.

That is the way it should be. How many of the all stars really care if the Yankees have home field or not. Really less than half of the all stars will ever have a reason to care about home field adv during the WS. Think about it, teams like Tampa, Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto, the Sox, the Rangers etc... have no reason to care.
