Rush busted... again

I think I know how this happened.

I bet somebody asked him, "Rush, how long are you going to be such a big dick?", and then he started popping the Viagra was just to prove he could be a big dick for as long as it takes.

:D

As funny as this thread is, (as as much as I HATE rush), I hope this doesn't affect his plea deal. Possessing Viagra without a prescription is not the type of "crime" that ought to impair the execution of a properly pled plea deal.

That said, it still is quite hilarious.

Viagra was one of the prescription medicines that he was carrying. The bottles were not prescribed to him, but rather his doctor - by his lawyer's own admission. He has a history of prescription drug abuse. If we're gonna be tough on drugs, we should be tough on things like this.

I am still waiting for LCR's passionate. lengthy post defending Rush Limbaugh and his right to be a druggie :P

Personally, I think he's got the right to put whatever he wants in his system in the safety of his own home and is responsible in doing it knowing the risks and benefits of it and he isn't harming anyone else.

Professionally, it wouldn't be the best for him to do since he has taken such a hardline stance against drugs and is notorious for declaring how forceful we need to be on drugs. It's just funny to see him declaring that addicts are just weak people who need to be thrown in jail -- and now he's a pain pill addict with a limp cock.

But I doubt jail is going to help him. No non-violent drug offender comes out of jail wanting to do less drugs.

Rush busted? Maybe, like Tom Sawyer, he was trying to stay in the Limelight until 2112, of his own Freewill, he's a Working Man, not some Fly by Night, and needs to keep this Closer to the Heart. Maybe for The Big Money he'll become a New World Man and listen to the Distant Early Warning because that is the Spirit of the Radio.

Nice.

Welcome back, Tex!

Rush Limbaugh is a hypocritical idiot.

There, I said it.

I tried really HARD to defend him when he had his bout with pain killers but enough is enough. He needs the book thrown at him.

Won't happen in this case. Those pills were legally prescribed to him.

Do you consider him a "thug" now?

Should sheriff Joe Arpaio have the right to pull him over and search him for drugs when he's driving through Arizona?

Yes but... they weren't. They were prescribed for his doctor in the name of privacy. That may or may not be legal.

If the doctor was self-prescribing, it is not legal.

I've lost track of the details on all this this on account of not caring.

The practice is legal in some parts of Florida and illegal in others I think. I don't know though. Definite red flag for an admitted addict though - sounds more like a relapse.

I should point out, that a lot of the news stories pointed out that Viagra was not the only prescription medication found in his bag.
