chitownsportsfan
How some of you guys can say "it's over" down two runs in the 7th is pretty silly if you ask me.

Flash Tizzle
Yeah, and people are looking for Hernandez to be added as bullpen depth? LOL. Don't give up anything for him. This is what you can expect the remainder of the season from American League opponents. Can anyone imagine Mauer or Morneau hitting off of him? jphat007
QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) this is why gamethreads are enjoyable once all the people who gave up hope suddenly jump back into things after we tie it up And it's funny to laugh at all the people who continue to give up and proclaim the game over. That's the best part.

valponick
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) I'm calling bulls***, Rock. You know better. None of this schoolyard, homer s***...not from you. I agree with you Addison. Ideally you want to win every series but in this case I felt coming out of Pittsburgh with anything less than a sweep would be a dissapointment. We were a team on fire, throwing our top 3 pitchers out there against one of the worst teams in baseball.

Don't give up anything for him. This is what you can expect the remainder of the season from American League opponents. Imagine Mauer or Morneau hitting off of him? Man you love you some Twins. It's a shame that they are 11 out of first place.
StrangeSox
QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) Rowand would've hit it farther. Rowand would have hit a homerun in three other innings and the sox would be up already.
Harry Chappas
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) You have to beat the teams you are supposed to beat. You know that. You know better than that. In 2005, the White Sox beat the teams they were supposed to beat. If you want to win this division--especially this year--you have got to beat the teams with the worst records in the league. Period. C'mon, you know better than that. Exactly right that is what makes this game important. Thanks Jim.

BigSqwert
Our runs-to-hits ratio has been bad this series. We should win these games by 5 or 6 runs.
