CYGarland
QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) cause it ain't over yet I hope so, but when your down by 6 runs in the 7th inning it's not looking too good.
Frankensteiner
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) When's the last time a team won the WS without a really good rotation? I'm not saying the starters can't turn it around, but they're sure making it look scary right now. I think the Angels were the only team I can remember without any truly dominating starters. However, their bullpen was incredible.

ecoyne
Honestly, at this point, I would like to see the White Sox win the division and for the Twins to win the wild card. The Tiger's luck is starting to run out. . .
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 03:06 PM) A pirate win would take some of the sting out of this loss. Come on Freddy! LOL. A Pirate win would actually piss me off a little. It would make this shellacking by a pathetic Cubs team even more frustrating. But, yes, go Pirates! Milkman delivers
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) Do you get sick of yourself sometimes? Sometimes. I'm just trying to make my point in a way that won't piss off the homers. My point is completely valid, but it's seen as being needlessly pessimistic. chitownsportsfan
The best teams in the league--outside of Detroit--are built the same way the White Sox are: a HR powered offensive powerhouse, middling pitching, and solid if not spectacular defense. Who exactly could the Sox face in the postseason with better pitching outside of Detroit? There are many ways to win in baseball. Pitching is an important part of the equation, but so are offense and defense.

With Buehrle on the mound? What the f***? You know how Buehrle has about 3 or 4 games a year in which he gets rocked? This was one of those games. He had nothing from the first pitch. Frankensteiner
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 03:10 PM) Detriot gets out of it, however in the top 7th, Detriot score 5 times. In the bottom half, Pitt scored 6. It happens to other teams boys, even the mighty Tigers.. It's been a trend for us lately, though. Not an isolated occurence.
