Chisoxrd5
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:45 PM) f*** this s***, i'm going to see Superman I'm heading out to the golf course...thank goodness
CYGarland
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 11:48 AM) Way worse...especially since Zambrano capped it with a bomb. Mark was throwing everything up in the zone and I'm not a major fan of the tipping pitches argument cause its not like he'd be tipping every pitch he threw, typically its just a specific pitch you are tipping and than they wait for that. But I could be wrong. Cant tell if he's tipping pitches or not, but almost EVERYTHING was up in the zone. And for Mark that's not good
Greg Hibbard
QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) I want to change the channel...but...I am hoping the offense will come to the rescue. I did tell my wife yesterday that I didn't think we would win today. I would rather face Zambrano when he doesn't have so much to prove. Until the Cubs win the world series (when hell freezes over), Zambrano will ALWAYS have something to prove against the White Sox Fortunately, we have absolutely zero to prove to the cubs we beat their asses in four of the first five games head to head this season they could score 80 today and it wouldn't change a damn thing tomorrow

MSHAWKS
QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) Mark is turning the suck knob WAYYYYYYY up today. You're f***ing delusional.
sayitaintso
There is another bad 1st inning again. The last 4 games it seems that our pitching sucks in the 1st but settles down after that.
GoRowand33
if mark was tipping his pitches then it will be fixed and he goes 5 or 6 more scoreless
quickman
This whole inning was on mark. It seems he actaully worked too fast. Like he jsut wanted to get out of there, so he hurried everything. Watch out there is more to come. Buehrle wanted to get out of there as quick as p;ossible so he hurried everything. Very dissapointing. Maybe he is pissed that ozzie didn't pick him for the all star game.

kapkomet
BULLs***. How many f***ing times is Mark going to "tip his pitches"? I'm sick of the f***ed up excuses on MB when he s***s himself. Man the f*** up and say "I sucked today" instead of some "I was tipping my pitches" bulls***. This ain't high school anymore.

CYGarland
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 11:49 AM) Our starting pitching has been terrible lately. We're not winning anything in the playoffs if this continues. I wouldnt worry about the playoffs right now, thats a whole nother story. But Coop does need to get these guys back on track. The offense cant carry this team all year, or can it?
sayitaintso
And in case anyone was wondering, Mark's ERA went up .5 points after that horrible 1st.
Kalapse
Mark's ERA is now 3.75 and his Run Average (unearned runs included) is 4.39.

But with the way a struggling Cubs offense tee-off on Buehrle is definitely cause for concern. First pitch rips. Anyway, it's hilarious watching the Cubs fans. They're reacting like they're winning the World Series or something. I guess I'll be heading to Ribfest a little early today.

sayitaintso
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 01:53 PM) He had a sparkling 63.00 ERA in that 1st inning.... That's my favorite number!
Greg The Bull Luzinski
Every once in about ten starts, Buehrle goes out and absolutely sucks ass. This is that start. Better now than against Detroit. The Cubs were hitting first pitch almost exclusively, the "tipping pitching" stuff is complete bulls***.
kapkomet
Yea, now we're going to hear from Cubs fans about how good they really are because they can put a 7 spot in the first inning against us. STFU, assholes. You're last. Enough said.
GoRowand33
my stance is still this: if he settles down and pitches 5 or 6 scoreless he was tipping pitches if he allows anything else or a lot of hard hit outs, then he just plain sucked nuts today

Frankensteiner
KW needs to get us a starter. We can't live with a decent outing here and there from Vazquez, Garland, and Garcia when our two "sure thing" pitchers are prone to getting their asses kicked like they have their last two starts.
