RibbieRubarb
Ace Ventura in the top ten? To me great comedies are ones where more than one person is given the chance to be funny, not regulated to watching one person try to be funny.

LowerCaseRepublican
The Aristocrats is better than the 93rd best comedy of all time. No Network? Napoleon Dynamite shouldn't even be sniffing that list. Dr. Strangelove should be higher on the list. This list can kiss my lily white, White Sox loving, comedy fan ass for three reasons: NO CHAPLIN NO BUSTER KEATON NO MARX BROTHERS They did give some respect to the great Mel Brooks which is good. Animal House is good, but I don't think it was the #1 comedy of all time.
Heads22
I still believe to this day that Anchorman was 10x funnier than Napoleon Dynomite.

I think part of the reason it was #1 is that is was somewhat ground breaking as well. I'm also disappointed Hollywood Knights didn't land on the list. I thought some of the movies were ranked in precarious spots, but opinions vary so that doesn't bother me so much.

hammerhead johnson
36. Good Morning, Vietnam That ain't no comedy, man. It's a serious drama with a few laughs thrown in here and there. You're not gonna find it in the comedy section at Blockbuster. I counted about 50 movies on that list that I will never see. While I'm no movie expert, I did find the strangely absent "Super Troopers" to be hilarious, and "Major League" ain't listed despite the fact that it is a hell of a lot funnier than "Bull Durham" on the strength of Uecker alone. And as LCR stated, the Marx Brothers stuff will induce tears from laughter.
SoxFanForever
I wouldn't exactly consider American Graffiti to be a straight comedy. This list is pathetic.

I disagree, Bull Durham is a well rounded movie while Major League (though a favorite of mine) is, well, just a comedy.
santo=dorf
Horrible list. (ZOOLANDER?!?!?! Dodgeball!?!?) Team America absolutely blows.....hard. Half Baked isn't funny either. Cheech and Chong's movies were better (and not listed either.) No "Major League," "Blazing Saddles," or I'm gonna git U sucka" = bulls***. SoxAce
QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 4, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) That ain't no comedy, man. Looking at that list, I can already see 5-10 movies that don't fit into the "comedy" list.
