Worst Raw main event ever. Seriously.

http://rajah.com/base/node/7655

According to several fan reports, last night people began leaving in large droves during the Lashley vs Umaga Main Event. Here is one fan's report:

About a minute into the Lashley/Umaga main event, a TON of people got up and left. The exodus continued during the match. And as soon as we got the 1-2-3, it took no time at all for a mad dash to the door. Not sure if a lot of these people came here from WM23 and were tired like us or what, but hardly anybody seemed to be into the match.

Botched wrestling moves

Man.....some of these look really painful.

 :bang

Very poor taste to put the Hayabusa one in there. Same for the Austin piledriver.

And goddamn Hogan sandbagged on that chokeslam from Taker. Surprised to see just 1 Gayda botch and a few from the Briscoes.

...and watching Lesnar screw a few up was painful to see. it was funny watching Lesnar with his man on his shoulders just standing there waiting for Angle to run in and Angle can't get the door open so he puts his man down and after Angle climbs into the cage, picks his guy back up so he can have his leg taken out from under him.

:bang :bang

I've seen that before. It's like the Scott Steiner show. I swear he's in 1/3 of the clips.

Which one is the Hayabusa one? And what exactly happened?

It's the one where the guy in the mask tries the springboard moonsault in the ring but never flips and lands directly on his head. Then they show all the EMT's in the ring and whatnot.

From Wiki:

In October 2001, Hayabusa suffered an injury during a match against Mammoth Sasaki while attempting a springboard moonsault. His foot caught the ropes and he landed on his head, paralyzing him. The injury also provoked a very high fever and Hayabusa required surgery. Hayabusa was considered the heart and soul of FMW, and after his departure FMW slowly folded.

In the meantime, Ezaki has been pursuing a career as a singer and usually appears in a wheelchair, although he is able to walk with the help of a cane.

People didnt leave because of the wrestling in the main event. They left because Ohio State was in the National Championship game and Raw was in Ohio.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned it yet. How about that awesome ECW main event?

What's an ECW?

:D

Why would people pay that much to see Raw, only to leave for the championship game? Raw was off the air at 10, the game was over by then. One has nothing to do with the other

ECW had an awesome main event? Oxymoron?

Just an odd wrestling note....former WCW/WWE tag team champ and MMA fighter Sean O'Haire got his butt kicked outside a bar the other night.........sound pretty bad

butt-kicking

The facts are not stacking up favorably for O'Haire(or just Haire, as the article states). The Bartender says he was trying to start a fight with the "assailant" all night, threatening him, there are numerous police reports of him starting fights in Hilton Head. Brantley threw one hell of a punch, thats for sure.

Did anyone see Batista walk in on the Undertaker at Smackdown? Big Dave crashed on the mic, it was bad. All he could muster was "Congrats, I want my rematch". Of course this was after about 3 minutes of jaw clenching and staring, so I guess his "statement" was just fluff. But still, it was pretty bad. Even Lashley could have come up with something better than that

Watch his fight from Pride 32 against Butterbean, I imagine it looked a lot like that

CZW has been going to absolute crap as of late.

Hero lost his loser leaves town match against Kingston. Then Zandig fires Kingston and proceeds to shoot on all the fans saying that if they don't like the product, then they shouldn't come back. He also shot on www.czwfans.com for crapping all over the terrible booking that has been happening.

There are rumors that CZW is refusing to work with the Chikara Wrestle Factory and other feds saying that they just want "loyal" workers (all part of Zandig's diatribe from last night's show)

CZ Dub is destroying itself and the fans on that board are about to have a mutiny. This is hilarious.

Oh, so in other words, it was just like he was back in WCW & WWE :D . That guy was atrocious in the ring.

That ECW Originals vs New Breed main event was good...not great but good.

You are crazy. It was terrific AND great. Almost like the old compnay was back for 15 minutes. Burke hit the Elijah Experience on Sabu THROUGH a table. Crazy hardcore spots galore. Supposedly its on ecw.com for those who didn't see it.

Also, I saw Low Ki vs Samoa Joe yesterday at a PWG show here in LA. It lived up to expectations. Great stuff.
