Milkman delivers
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:20 PM) Interesting news and notes from rajah.com source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter Arn Anderson was recently approached about coming out of retirement. The original idea called for him to wrestle in one or two TV matches where he'd team up with Ric Flair to help market the Four Horsemen DVD. Triple H was the main person pushing for it, as was Stephanie McMahon. Anderson was positive about the idea, but due to legal liabilities to the company in case he was injured with the pre-existing condition, it won't happen unless there is a medical clearance. When the idea got out, the idea got out of control, to the point it was talked about him becoming a player/coach on RAW, similar to Finlay on SmackDown. The idea is that Anderson and Finlay are about the same age, and Finlay was out of action for several years, came back, and ended up being one of the best workers in the company. WWE has handed down a 60-day suspension on SmackDown referee Chris Kay. The reason for his suspension has yet to be disclosed. The referee roster is thinned out moreso because Nick Patrick in on limited duty due to a sore back. Although there is no real talk on the subject, Mistico's CMLL contract expires in June. WWE didn't sign him after his tryout in February because they were led to be believe that he was under a long-term contract to CMLL. Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch are getting marks from some people in management because they are studying 80s tapes of long matches to improve their ring psychology. MVP has shelves full of videos from that era of Eddie Guerrero, Dynamite Kid, Dean Malenko, Tiger Mask and Toshiaki Kawada among others. WWE has taken action against Randy Orton for unprofessional conduct To the first part, damn straight. To the second, yayyyyyyy.

LowerCaseRepublican
ROH 4.28 Chicago results so far... 1) Delirious won the six man mayhem, pinning Akuma with what I believe was the Chemical Imbalance II. Jigsaw was in the match (even after getting knocked silly last night) and Quack was over huge. 2) Erick Stevens and Christopher Daniels went to a 20 minute draw. After the match, the Fallen Angel cut a promo "quitting" ROH and praising TNA saying he wished he'd never come back in 2005. 3) Brent Albright won the Four Way Dance, pinning BJ Whitmer after an Exploder Suplex. Homicide and Jimmy Rave were also in the match. It was said to be "Stiff," whatever that means. 4) Austin Aries defeats Rocky Romero with the 450 Splash. Afterward, Roderick "Pinchable Cheeks" Strong came in for the beat down on Aries, but Delirious was in to make the save. Announcement: ROH returns to Chicago on June 23 with the return of Marafuji AND Bryan Danielson v. KENTA. His matches just aren't the same without the high pitched japanese girl screams. 5) Morishima defeats Shingo with a suplex to retain the ROH World Title. INTERMISSION 6) Bobby Dempsey v. Sugarfoot is set. Tank Toland is out. It turns into Toland v. Sugarfoot, and Sugarfoot is mauled. Tank Toland wins. Toland now offers to train Bobby Dempsey. 7) Roderick Strong defeats Jack Evans with a crucifix into something. I believe it killed Evans. Romero joined in on a beating and Delirious made the save again, cutting a promo. 8) Current Match: ROH Tag Team Titles. The Briscoes defeat The Motor City Machine Guns. Brian
QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 01:01 AM) As much as i'm kinda interested to see the Batista/'Taker last man standing match, I think i'll wait to download the torrent. I've never downloaded a PPV on torrent, just TV shows. how long does it usually take to download? I won't be ordering it. I don't wanna watch Cena and Lashley both overcome the odds. But is HBK and Shane win the titles, I'll mark out. I know it won't happen, but I wouldn't put it past the E to put the title on Orton as a shocker. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 11:32 PM) 2) Erick Stevens and Christopher Daniels went to a 20 minute draw. After the match, the Fallen Angel cut a promo "quitting" ROH and praising TNA saying he wished he'd never come back in 2005. Wow, that is kind of cold even if it is a work. Is he really done there? Seems ROH usually sends their guys off with respect.

Depends on how many seeders there are and quality of course...I'd say 4 hours or so, I usually start it when I go to sleep or when i'm in class and when I get back it's done often times. And from what i've heard Orton's gonna be moved to either Smackdown or ECW for punishment.

It's funny that the company thinks it would be punishment to move him to another show. No favoritism or anything. Smackdown is actually the best show right now. Has a lot of wrestling. LowerCaseRepublican
Cabana won his last match in ROH. And the thing with Daniels: This isn't the start of a new storyline - Daniels is legitimately finished with ROH as of tonight. From this point on, much like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles when they were no longer being booked regularly by ROH, Daniels will be focus primarily on TNA and independent bookings made through TNA's office. Tonight had quietly been Daniels' final night with the promotion, so ROH turned him heel upon his departure with the idea that if/when he ever returns, they have a ready made heel persona for him. LowerCaseRepublican
I don't know what is worse. Lashley having the strap or Vince having the strap for ECW. ECW -- Just kill it already. And is it just me or are more people getting addicted to MVP? I really am digging the gimmick, the in-ring work and the character he brings to the role. Buehrle>Wood
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 02:31 AM) I don't know what is worse. Lashley having the strap or Vince having the strap for ECW. Obviously Lashley having the strap is worse. I mean Vince is better both on the mic and in the ring! Anyway, I'm a new ECW watcher but I love it. The Original/New Breed feud is one of the feuds currently going on in the WWE and their matches have been pretty solid. The Original/New Breed feud is one of the feuds currently going on in the WWE and their matches have been pretty solid. From what I read, it seems they are gonna stop with the Lashley on Raw thing and keep him on ECW now and the whole title situation will now involve the New Breed and Originals angle. Which I am fine with. i would of loved to see Shane win it though just because he could have good matches.

Brian
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 09:42 PM) Cena wins. Lame. So one of the HW titles changes hands, one match is a draw, and one retains. Talk about covering all bases.

santo=dorf
I wish they would split the rosters so all the crusierweights were on ECW and Smackdown, and a majority of the meatheads and women were on Raw. Tag teams would be allowed to "float" between all the brands. The ECW title should be the new WWE Hardcore title. It doesn't have to be the 24/7 rule or cotton candy "weapon" shots. Just some out of the ring action including pinfalls.
Purdue129
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 28, 2007 -> 11:32 PM) ROH 4.28 Chicago. 8) Current Match: ROH Tag Team Titles. The Briscoes defeat The Motor City Machine Guns. This was the best match I have ever seen live. Although I haven't seen everything this year yet, it's my MOTY so far. I'm 100% The Briscoes are the best team in the world and Shelley/Sabin were unbelieve. If TNA doesn't use them as a team they are nuts.

MHizzle85
I just watched the Backlash PPV, somewhat better than I expected. This MVP gimmick is really really realllllly growing on me, and he put on a good match with Benoit. Is it just me or seein the ECW Strap on Vinny Mac make you sick, I think a little piece of me just kinda died seeing that...If he wants to kill ECW for all the newbies, this sure as hell is the way to do it. Batista/Undertaker I thought was awesome, mostly cause i'm a 'Taker mark, but the last spot I also thought was awesome. The 4-Way was also better than expected, nice ending to it even tho Cena retained...I still think they need to end this Cena/Michaels angle. I'm gonna get flamed for this, but Vince McMahon gives the ECW title more credibility than Shane Douglas ever gave it. Shane was so overrated and couldn't get over unless he swore up a storm. Vince doesn't needs to swear and has more ring psychology than most guys these days. I don't expect him to hold it for long, but I don't think it is as big a deal as everyone makes it. This isn't the ECW of the mid 90's.

Kyyle23
Edge looks awful. He looks like he has gained alot of weight, lost muscle tone, and he looks really slow. Is he still hurt from that 20 foot Jeff Hardy ladder drop during Wrestlemania?
The Critic
QUOTE(Brian @ Apr 30, 2007 -> 07:22 PM) I'm gonna get flamed for this, but Vince McMahon gives the ECW title more credibility than Shane Douglas ever gave it. I don't expect him to hold it for long, but I don't think it is as big a deal as everyone makes it. This isn't the ECW of the mid 90's. Vince holding any title is an admission of failure to develop believable main-eventers. Don't get me wrong, I find Vince enjoyable in small doses, but to have the owner hold any of the belts (and how many different title reigns has Vince had by now?) diminishes the entire roster in my opinion. Lashley is an abject failure as any sort of champion or top-level performer, but is there no one else in ECWWE who can hold the title and have fans buy into it? It's desperate booking for shock value, and it succeeds short-term but fails in the long run.
