Is Foley's "Hardcore Diaries" due to come out in paperback yet?

That, and the "cheap pops" he gets, are the only two reasons I can think of for him to be around.

For Orton to kill the legend of Foley and set something up that way?

And this VKM angle could be potentially good. If booked slowly and correctly, it could be a decent gimmick. The catatonic Vince was cool and interesting and it'll likely come out that it was Vince who planned it all along as a cry for help/end his suffering.

I thought it was funny. Good stuff. My money's eitehr on DX or on McMahon faking his death to elicit sympathy. Either he's off TV for awhile so that's good.

Smackdown got hosed in the draft - hope the supplemental draft (which was moved to Sunday) helps them. I so wanted CM Punk on SD.

I dunno, if done correctly this could be good. Could being the key word there.

Given the "creative" team's recent (and less recent, and really not recent) track record, I see no way this can play out in an interesting fashion, but I"ll try to go into it with an open mind. I think the last angle they slow-played was the HHH/Batista storyline.

Maybe Vinnie will appear as a ghost and HAUNT Bobby Lashley....or maybe we'll finally see that Vince Vs. God angle play out.....LOL.

Wether or not they do make this into another storyline, I'm almost certain that the Mr. McMahon character has been killed off for good.

Anyone going to tune into ECW tonight?

I dunno, I can just as easily see him return more arrogant than ever - "EVEN DEATH CAN'T DEFEAT VINCENT! KENNEDY! MACK-MAN!!!"

I don't even have Sci-Fi Network, so I won't be tuning in. :D

Just to get an early jump on Who Killed VKM:

My first "suspect" is Coach, since he turned Vince around to go to the "right" limousine.

I didnt even think about that.

Very good ECW tonight other than the 15 minutes recapping last night. Dreamer/Balls was a harcore match done in true ECW fashion, Boogie Man/Striker was average, and Benoit-Punk/Burke-Cor Von was excellent. Though would anyone agree with me that the ending was botched by the ref? Our first match victim of the Refs not knowing the ending era.

So whats the opinion on Punk v. Benoit v. Burke v. Cor Von for the ECW Strap?

Put it on Benoit.

I love heel champions, always good for business, but Benoit should have it and keep it forever.

I like the possibilities for ECW now as a good wrestling show. No more stiffs, except Boogeyman.

Again, that's just for HOUSE shows - not TV. Agree it was awkward, but it happens sometimes. I too predict Benoit winning the title at Vengeance. Word is it'll be a Fatal Four-Way w/ Punk, Burke & CorVon.

Not a bad idea to have CorVon win it and have the others chase him, but I don't see it.

I think it'd be a great storyline twist to have one of the wrestlers as a detective, trying to solve the whodunit. I vote for Kane or Eugene.

Wether or not true, there is no way that could have been the ending. They were working on a hot tag to Benoit for a good 5 minutes, only for the ref to call for the bell. Then everyone just kind of froze up for a second only for Benoit to improvise and lay it out on Burke. I know thw inital report was that it was for house shows only, but it seems they definitly extended it to TV, atleast in this case.

Could have just been a crappy ref, or a ref having a crappy night.

Too bad Vince isn't around to straighten things out anymore.... :bang

The feeling on Chris Jericho right now is that there is no deal and place and that he won't be back until the fall at the earliest. That is of course if finally agrees to a deal.

Furthermore, the company recently reached out to Big Show due to the lack of depth on the roster because of the recent rash of injuries. Show told them that he wasn't interested in returning to WWE.

They'd probably draft Jericho to ECWWE and job Show off to The Khali.

...or maybe Show would drag McMahon's casket around behind his car for a while...

(I know Bossman rode Show's daddy's casket around, but it's the closest I could get to make the joke work....so sue me.... :D )

I read that they have been testing out not telling the ending ahead of time, so it would make sense that it would start appearing on TV. Keep in mind the original reports said the refs weren't told the finishes to the mid-card and lower level matches, not the main events. Of course the ECW main event is equivalent to a mid card match so I think the ref screwed it up.

This whole "McMahon is Dead" angle is kind of uncomfortable. The ten bell salute and stuff like that is stuff they did when guys like Owen and Eddie died.

I think it is fine now but when/if he comes back, it will be poor taste. Nothing new to Vince, I guess.
