danman31
Charlotte rained out. Barons lost 8-0. Aldridge 2-4. Liotta got rocked again, ERA at 4.93. Munoz and Pollok both very good out of the pen. Box Score W-S won 12-3. Cook 2-4 with a HR, 3 RBI, 3 runs, and a walk. Recently promoted Daron Roberts went 4-5 with 2 RBI and 3 runs. Rod Allen 3-4. Kelly, Lucy, Smith, Mercedes with 2 hits each. Egbert 6 IP, 1 R (0 ER), 7 K, 2 BB, 5 hits. I just realized Oneli Perez got promoted to Winston-Salem a week and a half ago. Box Score Kanny lost 3-1. Hernandez 2-2 with a double, run, and a walk. Cortes 7 IP, 2 R, 4 K, 2 BB, 6 hits but the tough luck loss. Good to see Cortes and Brooks improving lately. Box Score Great Falls lost 5-4 in 13. Carter another HR (#6, 2 run shot). Reves 2-4. Box Score Bristol lost 8-4. Some Espinal guy who is 19 years old hit his 2nd HR of the season. Gene Honda Civic
Cortes is really holding his own. He was probably a little out of his league to start the season, but he weathered the terrible defense that plagued Kanny early in the year, with his peripherals and hit rate have been improving ever since. He's just 19, so he's well ahead of the age curve in the Sally league. Holding his own should be considered a victory. He'll be one to watch in the second half and next season. Yeah I was thinking that. An above average season by the end of the year would be a nice victory all things considered. Kanny is still a horrible team but at least some individuals are beginning to overcom the fact that the team is bad on the whole. Heads22
Ahh consarnit Liotta. Hopefully, Carter can harness his strong rookie league campaign for a promotion....

He's got a pretty darn good arm and is considered a pretty good prospect (or at least was when we drafted him).
DBAHO
Harrell's definitely ready for double A, maybe Whisler and Egbert as well. Maybe Liotta could go back to W-S for a little while to get his confidence back?

GoodAsGould
I think Ray Liotta should stay in double A. Lumdsen and Broadway probably should both be promoted making room for Harrel and Whisler who also should be promoted.
Heads22
The Knights rotation has been very solid with Philly, Haegs, Tracey, Redding and Randolph. It'd take a callup for one of them or someone going down/released for Broadway or Lumsden to move up. However, Redding and Randolph are likely gone after this year. Redding and Randolph are non-prospects.... while they might be doing well its more important that we care for our prospects first.
Heads22
Well, the reason a system isn't just gonna be stacked with young dudes and there are older guys in the system (if I've learned from Rex) is to have the older guys help the younger guys and to help build a winning attitude. Redding and Randolph are big reasons that Charlotte is doing as well as they are. Without them, the other guys they have aren't likely doing as well. Winning builds winning.
