fathom
Well, we still have a chance in this game. It's mind-boggling the amount of runners our pitchers are giving up lately.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 02:23 PM) yeah, because we really need to walk in some more runs If you can't win, look like a bad ass losing. :finger
Heads22
So....for some good news regarding Sox pitching........ Charlie Haeger worked 5 innings today, giving up one run on two hits, one walk and nine strikeouts. Heath Phillips went 3 innings in relief, giving up one hit and one walk with two K, and Boone Logan worked a perfect ninth for a save. And we can all watch Josh Fields in the Futures Game in about 30 mins.

southsideirish71
Thank you Big Dummy for swinging at 3-0. Well I would like to thank the Count for deciding to introduce a new arm angle when he had some time on the DL. He was pitching just fine, then added something and is kind of inbetween 2004 Contreras and 2005 Contreras. Why oh why when you are successful do you f*** with your mechanics. ST is when you f*** with mechanics not when you are in a playoff hunt.
Jordan4life_2007
I really hope Ozzie doesn't pitch Contreras and Buehrle Tuesday. All our starters need to do flat nothing for the next 4 days.
fathom
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) Pretty stupid to swing 3-0 when Contreras couldn't fin the plate Yes and no. He was about .1 of an inch from ending this game. With how well he's swinging the bat lately, I wouldn't be mad if I was a Red Sox fan. It's a different story if it's a tie game, etc.

I am also afraid Count and Buehrle would get embarassed in the all star game with they way they are throwing now.
Frankensteiner
Anyone still want to argue that we have better pitching than the Red Sox?
southsideirish71
Schilling can only throw a fastball for a strike so far. Cue to the team, sit fastball, then kill it.
