aboz56
By Tony Mazzuca The White Sox begin the second half of the season Friday with a true test awaiting them. The Sox make their way to the Bronx for a weekend series with the Yankees. The Sox, who trail Detroit by two games in the Central at the All-Star break, just dropped two of three from AL East leading Boston and will look to get back on track in their first meeting with the Yankees in 2006. Baines3
The Yankee's are always tough, especially in New York. Sure glad we will have Jose on the mound for us.
Balta1701
Ok starting pitchers, a lot of you acted like kids in the first half. It's crunch time now. We have the best damn starting rotation in baseball on paper. It's time to pitch like it. That goes for all 5 of you. Each and every one of you is capable of performing quite a bit better in the next 3 months. No more relying on the offense to carry you, get out and do your jobs, and the rest of baseball will be absolutely terrified to face this team. greg775
You are right balta, I just hope the second half doesn't show our guys have tired arms. Hope that isn't the case.

It's time for the starters to step up and live up to the hype. They're the difference between this being a pretty good team and/or a team that could go down as one of the top 2 or 3 teams of the past 20 years. Imagine last year's pitching with this year's offense? Scary!
RME JICO
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jul 14, 2006 -> 04:37 AM) Imagine last year's pitching with this year's offense? Scary! I never expected the offense to be this good, and I never expected the pitching to be this inconsistent. That combo of last year's pitching and this year's offense would be lethal. Baines3
If we want to repeat, the pitching needs to step forward. We can't depend on our power to save us all the time.
