CWSOX45
Chad Qualls? I bet Qualls is all for that deal, hell all he does against the Sox is give up slams.
GoSox05
yea so far Qualls hasnt had the best track record at US Cellular. But than again he wouldnt be facing the white sox. How come we're not scouting Carl Everett?

rangercal
I would be all for bringing Hunter in. We can't afford anderson batting close to .150 in the postseason. Can you imagine bases Juiced with anderson coming up? We would all not want to watch. Hunter is not a downgrade on D and a HUGE upgrade on Offense. I would trust him more in clutch situations. There may be a period where our offense goes cold in September/October ( like 2000, 2003) and we have to rely on players like anderson. I would rather rely on Hunter. If this is the difference between winning it all or falling short. I am all for making the move. and the money part. Who cares? Is it our money? I would not be surprised to see ownership pay an extra 10 million to have a better shot at a dynasty. It would be a business move. That's what the Whte Sox chairmen and board of directors do first, business.
DBAHO
After seeing Houston trade for Huff, I can't really see them as sellers at the deadline, so the likes of Qualls will probably be staying put. Hunter's total OPS is .787 so far this season, a figure that has slowly decreased since the 2004 season. I wouldn't call him a huge upgrade on offense, and it's certainly not worth the prospects you'd have to give up to make such a move.

Capn12
I have no interest in Torii Hunter, thank you. If we're gonna get an OFer for the rest of 2006 and beyond, I want it to be a corner OFer with leadoff hitter ability, thats it.
R.J.
The name on that list that most excites me is LaTroy Hawkins... which, is a little sad actually.

If it's true the Sox were scouting Qualls in order to trade for him, the maybe/ are willing to give up current players on the 25 man roster [and I'm not just talking about bench guys]
