Logan won pitching 1.1IP of scoreless relief, Randolph gave up 4ER in 5.1IP. Fields 2 for 4, Sweeney 1 for 3 with 2 BB's and 3R's, Rogowski hit a grand slam, Owens was 2 for 2 as a pinch hitter. Heads22
LBINAProspect. I have to expect he'll be in AAA next year, or maybe even this year if he keeps it up, which is awesome to see. Hopefully it can translate to the Castle.
GoodAsGould
any chance Carter gets re-promoted to low A again. With most everyone on the team sucking I dont think it would hurt by making room for him. Getz has been getting his avg. up every game now... today he was 1-2 with 2 walks avg. in the low 270's now after being in the .250 range not too long ago. I know his ceiling isnt that high but still Im hoping he can succeed and get that avg. near the .300 range and next season start at Charlotte and possibly be our future 2B and either number 2 in the lineup or leadoff man when Iguchi is gone. danman31
Carter 3-3, 2B, 2 RBI, walk, run. Gilbert, Shelby each with 3 hits. Marrero 2-4. Reves 1-4 with a 3 run HR (#3). Box Score Don't forget with Getz that he skipped Winston-Salem and he's still in his first full season. Holding his own is fine this year. Hopefully he is able to improve next year and should be a solid major leaguer in a couple seasons. Also of note, Collaro hit a HR today. I'm not giving up on him. He's definitely shown improvement as this season has gone on. His average has gone up each month. Edited July 15, 2006 by danman31
Gene Honda Civic
That's about as good as you can ask for from Harrell. 11-2 GB/FB ratio. 5K's vs. 2 BBs. Sounds like a solid outing to me.
Kalapse
So when the hell did we acquire Tim Bittner? Yet another Angels castaway.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 12:19 AM) So when the hell did we acquire Tim Bittner? Yet another Angels castaway. Isn't Bittner originally a Sox castaway (part of the Scho deal) and IIRC we recently picked him up as a FA. In fact I think the Angels were pretty high right after they acquired Bittner (if I'm thinking of the right guy, we send him, Scott Dunn and maybe someone else). Kalapse
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) Isn't Bittner originally a Sox castaway (part of the Scho deal) and IIRC we recently picked him up as a FA. In fact I think the Angels were pretty high right after they acquired Bittner (if I'm thinking of the right guy, we send him, Scott Dunn and maybe someone else). You are correct I think we drafted him somwhere around the 10th round in '01 he Gary Glover and Dunn (whom I believe is sucking ass in Tampa's pen currently) netted us Shoeny. I was surprised to see we picked him back up for the simple fact that he's only like 25 years old still and I know the Angels really liked him at one point in time.
