Dick Allen
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) I can't see the game except for on Gameday, how's Mark looking? Not sharp. His control is off, although he should have gotten out of the first unscathed.
fathom
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 05:56 PM) I can't see the game except for on Gameday, how's Mark looking? He's up in the zone with everything. The disturbing thing is that Mussina looks fantastic.
Dick Allen
I'm at the point right now where I think the Sox will need at least 6 or 7 runs to win just about any game.
southsideirish71
I am hoping that we trade for some bullpen help and ship Garcia and his dead arm somewhere in the NL. I think bmac is the kind of kick our rotation needs.

The Ginger Kid
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 10:57 AM) Well, our starters also throw as many pitches as anyone in baseball over the last two seasons. last year it was a lack of offense putting pressure on the pitching, this year it's the reverse. I just hope for the same results in the end.
fathom
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 15, 2006 -> 06:01 PM) I am hoping that we trade for some bullpen help and ship Garcia and his dead arm somewhere in the NL. I think bmac is the kind of kick our rotation needs. I still think we need to add a top-notch outfielder to play LF or CF, but I no that's likely not going to happen. As you said yesterday, I don't want us tipping our hat in the 2nd half of the season every time we face Liriano or Santana.

chitownsportsfan
Mark looks fine to me. He's getting ahead in most counts and his changeup is looking good. He's always going to rely on pitching to contact, lets hope this is one of those days were he doesn't leave too many 88 mph cookies up and over the plate. Felix
If Cintron was off with contact, I think he could have made it. Probably not worth the risk though.
Dick Allen
If you play the infield in the first inning with ARod up, why don't you bunt a man to 3rd with BA in the 3rd?
