Ozzie has a chance to turn this into a positive for his image.

I hope he takes it.

and I hope Tracey succeeds.

Anyone want to bet that game one next Friday night (when Texas comes to town) that Tracey rights a wrong? Should be interesting.

Personally, I'd rather he just have a blank slate when he returns to the team.

I don't believe it'll occur because it couldn't be less obivous. Shouldn't even be considered with so much attention drawn on the issue.

If Tracey has to hit a batter to vilify himself in the mind of Guillen, they'll probably be several opportunities down the stretch.

If it's Tracey, I'm pleasantly stunned.

actually this makes for great press. Puts Ozzie as a nice guy again. See ozzie gives second chances, Blah blah, at the same time they could be showing him for trade purposes. We cannot expect much, but he will be better than politte.

I am going to be royally pissed if for whatever reason this organization believes Dustin Hermanson is ready to face major league hitters.

But, Kalapse I think that is exactly what's going to happen. Thinking most likewly is that he is recovered from his back injury and is an established ML relief pitcher who knows the pressure of the pennat race. I will be stunned if he isn't called up.

He was great last year, but it was definately time to move on.. good luck Clifford

It sucks to see Cliff go but he was not helping the team the way he is pitching. We need this move to let our players know nothing is guaranteed.

A trade in the works for Politte?

Sit and wait: After being designated for assignment Saturday, relief pitcher Cliff Politte will fly home to St. Louis today and hopefully get a call from Sox GM Kenny Williams detailing a trade.

If there’s no trade and he clears waivers, Politte said he doubts he will report to Class AAA Charlotte. He’d probably try catching on with another team next spring.

“If someone wants to take an opportunity on me, I’ll be there,’’ Politte said. “I’m going to go home and try to get healthy and start working out and get my arm in better shape.

“My mind’s the biggest thing right now. Kenny’s going to try (to trade me), and I know he’s always an honest man. If it doesn’t, then it didn’t work out for me.’’

One of the most painful things I've ever seen in pro sports happened yesterday with his facial and body expressions. It was so painful to watch yesterday when the Yankees were pouring it on. I really like Cliff and I will wish him the best of luck.

He's looked like that all year when he's getting shelled.
