Tracey pulled from AAA start

In a move announced by WhiteSox.com and sports radio stations in Chicago, Cliff Politte was designated for assignment. In a corresponding move, Sean Tracey was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte. Tracey will replace Politte in the White Sox bullpen.

Politte is obviously either A) hurt or B) out of gas and washed up.

 

Let's see what Tracey can do before getting out there and looking for a bullpen arm.

According to his minor league splits, batters are hitting .175 off of Sean in the first inning and .135 in the second. Hopefully it can transfer to relief.

I hate to see Cliff go b/c he was such a big reason for last year, but this had to be done. So long, Cliff!

 

Also, I'm really quite excited to see Tracey up here again. I think he can be a very solid reliever for us.

I am sad too see this happen but it had to be done. Cliff will always be remembered for his great 2005 season and i hope that he will put it all back together.

I'll keep that in mind -- that Ozzie can change his opinion -- next time you tell me that a source of yours has told you that a player will never, ever, not so long as the sun is shining and the moon is beaming, play for Ozzie Guillen again.

Good move. Tracey couldn't be as bad as Cliff if he tried. Let's just hope Sean can take advantage of a tremendous opportunity now. Oh, and thanks for '05, Cliff.
