Guest JimH
And here are the key quotes: "If people would just take the time to look at what has been consistent, it's a pretty easy answer.'' Since the start of the season, Williams has said his five starting pitchers are going to remain in a Sox uniform for at least the 2006 season. While the Sox tried to trade Garcia last offseason, Williams wants six starters -- including former starter-turned-reliever Brandon McCarthy -- at his disposal down the stretch. "Here's the plan, the same plan there was in spring training: Go through the season with the five,'' Williams said. "If something happens to one of the five, Brandon then steps in. Aside from that, if we are fortunate enough to get in the playoff situation, a short-series situation, we take one of the five and move one of the five to the bullpen to help us in that capacity.'' Rowand44
So in other words: Kenny is working on something involving one of our starters.

Greg The Bull Luzinski
If KW could find a buyer for Flaming Freddy, I have a Brooklyn Bridge to sell to that team. I would settle for Sean Tracey over Freddy in the rotation at this point.
GoodAsGould
when do GM's ever tell the truth.... this really means nothing. Especially with the emergence of Haeger/Phillips in AAA who can fill in for a starter if one of them goes down... not saying they would be amazing but the 6th starter isnt apposed to be. Chisoxfn
Kenny has some stuff up his sleeve, but I don't know if we have the chips to get done some of the things he wants to get done. Not to mention I don't know if the market will be too much of a sellers market.
