knightni
http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Kinda pointless I say. Second round picks are nearly useless and Eisley's gone immediately.
rangercal
I agree. f***ing retarded.
MHizzle85
I was actually looking forward to seeing JR Smith in a Bulls uniform.
ZoomSlowik
Definitely doesn't make sense. Smith actually has potential.
AssHatSoxFan
we still have khyrpia or however you spell it, doesnt that make you excited?
Chisoxfn
Pax is putting a major priority on having some quality vets around our young players and I'm sure he didn't think JR Smith would be very happy with his playing time here. Because of that he moved him now as opposed to having him for a few weeks only to have him whine and complain.
Jordan4life_2007
I don't like this deal. I have no problem trading Smith, as he would've had trouble getting any consistent PT on a team that's already loaded on the perimiter, but I think we could've gotten a little more than we did. GoodAsGould
We arent getting any players in this deal which makes me question it more. We could easily do the same deal if not more in the middle of the season or even the begining if the JR Smith experiment didnt work out. Why not give the kid a chance in a new environment and all and see if he can turn it around... what are we going to do w/ two 2nd rounders anyways. Goldmember
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 17, 2006 -> 12:34 PM) I guess Pax beleives getting PJ Brown,Adrian Griffin and two 2nd round picks for Tyson is better than PJ Brown and JR Smith for Tyson. I would have to agree. word. a couple proven vets that could really help out this team >>> unproven potentially good player with a bad attitude that would whine about his minutes and could possibly ruin team chemistry... plus we got the two picks that pax can turn into something... Phuck the Cubs
Maybe it's to clear salary to lock up Hinrich, Gordon, Chapu, and Deng??
nitetrain8601
I think we could've used JR for much much much better.
DBAHO
J.R's stock is pretty much shot around the league thanks to Byron Scott. Will be interesting to see if he can fit in with George Karl. And I doubt J.R would have wanted to be a bench player for the Bulls. He believes he can start in this league, and will get the chance to do so for the Nugs. DrunkBomber
That sucks. I was excited about seeing what JR could do. I think he had potential to be good and he was still so young and hasnt reached his full potential. I dont understand some of these trades. KevHead0881
The talk that I've heard since we got Smith was that a Scott Skiles/J.R. Smith relationship would have disaster written all over it. My guess is that part of the Chandler rested on us taking Smith off the Hornets hands. Sounds like he isn't exactly a coaches dream.

SleepyWhiteSox
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 18, 2006 -> 10:12 AM) Tell that to Gilbert Arenas. Arenas, Redd, etc. hardly ever happen...and Pax had given up 2 2nd-rounders in other trades already anyways...
