Mench, who is making $2.8 million this year and will be a free agent at the end of the season, could be a fit for the Yankees as they look to fill a void in right field. Shawn Chacon, who has compiled a 6.71 ERA in 13 appearances for the Yankees this season and has been dropped from their rotation, could be used as potential trade bait. Maybe he could play LF too. I'm sure we also want a leadoff hitter who's batting .267 and an OBP 30 points worse than Pods. Heck, just put him in CF, that Anderson guy's never going to come around. 7 home runs in 7 days, and 11 total on the season for Mench. That says it all to me right there. He really came on last year and while he hasn't been bad this year, he had one hot streak and aside from that his power has been way down. Doesn't fit here but I think a contender like the Yanks or Angels would have to consider him and there is no way they will deal him to the Angels. I can give details, as I've been around him a little bit, but I'll leave it there. Let's say that the ladies even think he's stupid and arrogant. Kevin Mench has the personality of an asshole.
