i understand what u mean but in the end, its still 5 runs, no matter how u slice it.

yes, but thats why we look at more than statistics. I thought he pitched pretty damn good tonight. Hopefully he can continue the trend and next time not hang the slider.

no the site is called soxtalk

go to motown sports.

Lets just calm down...put em on ignore if you don't like em. If they were going out of the way to attack that would be one thing but they aren't. I realize some people dont' like the Tiger fans in this thread, but just put em on ignore. Comments like this and the previous one aren't necessary.

We have mods for that and I'd like to think we do a decent job at it. Hope you understand :)

Not really. I mean, he pitched extremely well except for one pitch. Im dissapointed in the runs, but the sweat on his hand that caused him to hang the pitch sucks.

And how often has one pitch defined his starts? He's typically removed immediately afterwards, so who knows whether Vazquez would have continued pitching well or not. All I know is Vazquez hung the breaking ball, gave up the HR, and has no one to blame but himself.

Let's stop with the excuses and recognize a pattern with Vazquez.

I still say Vazzy pitched a good game tonight.

Bonderman is smoking our ass. Vazzy's mistake happened to be with 3 men on base.

Not good, but an outing to build on.

Fathom I understand your frustration about Vazzy and some of our arms this year, but have you

looked around baseball?

Except for the Tigers, whose staff has been pretty awesome, there are some rag arms out there.

I seriously doubt McCarthy would be dominating this year either, if he was starting.

Baseball is full of some really horses*** pitchers.

Do you at least agree on that account?

If it wasn't Vazzy and Freddie sucking, it'd just be somebody else.

You ain't gonna find 5 reliable starters, no way.

Actually, the pitching in the American League is a lot deeper this year than previous seasons. When you have about 50 million dollars invested in your starting pitcher, and they're all healthy, you should expect a lot better production.

Let's not avert attention off of that goof on the mound. At some point, you have to look past his stuff and realize this guy has little testicular fortitude.

I don't even think his stuff is that good. Decent fastball, decent slider, but nothing too impressive, imo.

Of course, we all know their are certain whipping boys on the team. If that was a slider, then that really was a brutal pitch. There was virtually no tilt on that pitch at all.

It was a slider...you could tell by the velocity on it.

this guy being in here is like kicking our dog too.

Dude....you need to unscrew yourself out of the ceiling.....I've done nothing more than try to give respectful perspective from a Tigers fan....you should see the trash talking a few white sox fans were giving in our forum last night......

He may be throwing out of the pen if we make it to the post-season. That said I really think he's going to be a key piece to this team down the stretch and his success (or failure) is going to really be a key factor in the Sox success (or failure).

After all the slamming I've done I got to admit I actually have some faith in Javy over the 2nd half of the season, even with tonights start.

Well Jason if we step back and take the emotion out of it, you are right, he pitched 5 good innings. Personally I expect a little more than that, I would like to see seven good innings.

I agree with you 100% that his success or failure will go a long way in determining how the White Sox do and where they end up. But I think they are at their wits end with these horrible pitches at exactly the wrong time. It is the antithesis of what winning teams do. If you can't redouble your focus at a key time like that, there's a problem. Maybe Guillen needs a shorter leash on this guy, I don't know.

We have no idea if Kenny is reluctant to trade Javy. From everything I've read, he's been shopping him.

i bet they were gone pretty fast...no reason for a tigers fan to be where sox fans convene. If i wanted your perspective, id go to your site.

I have a feeling KW would jump at the chance to trade him. However, 11 million dollars, and a few more years at huge money, isn't exactly going to make people give in to your trade demands.
