Heads22
By Alex Bozich [email protected] The White Sox will look to get back to winning as they return home for a weekend series against the Texas Rangers. The Sox have struggled with a 1-5 record since the All-Star game and are now a season-high 5.5 games behind the Detroit Tigers. With the best home record in baseball at 33-14, the White Sox will need improved starting pitching and timelier hitting if they plan to continue boasting the best home record beyond this weekend. http://www.soxtalk.com/frontpage/html/modu...icle&sid=

Gregory Pratt
I believe I heard somewhere that we don't have the best home record anymore.

Gregory Pratt
Anyone willing to bet on whether or not someone gets beaned this weekend? Too bad we're not in the NL, where Padilla could bat.
maggliopipe
Well Texas will have done a lot of traveling so hopefully they'll be tired. They played yesterday in Toronto, today in Boston, and tomorrow in Chicago. We can use any edge right now.

Just had the 4 days off for the ASG and a day off on Monday. And to top it off Ozzie uses his bench more than anyone in baseball.
santo=dorf
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jul 20, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe I heard somewhere that we don't have the best home record anymore. I thought the Twins took that over some time ago. Who's going up against Koronka? I don't like facing an inexperience left hander.
Jordan4life_2007
Aside from the post-season, of course, this might be the biggest start in Mark Buehrle's career. We need him to be Mark Buehrle again for so many reasons right now. Edited July 21, 2006 by Jordan4life_2006
DBAHO
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 09:28 AM) I predict a sweep by the Sox. And I'll be very annoyed if we can't do that. Most of the matchups seem to be in our favor, we're at home, time to get back on track.

SouthSidePride05
Just saw on the news that tonight is "Gay Games Night at the Ballpark" at US Cellular Field. I was wondering how tickets sold out so fast when last week I checked there was about 4000 tickets still available, and then within a few hours, it was sold out. The White Sox must have bought out all the tickets and handed them out free to all the participants. Mullet Night/Gay Games Night.. should be a colorful one. LVSoxFan
Are you serious? Mullet night and "gay" night? Sheesh. We're tailgating tonight, so this oughta be something...
BigSqwert
So who's going to tonight's game? I'll be in section 542. If anyone else is in the UD maybe we can meet up for a beer and commiserate.
Drew
Gay games? Are talking about games played by homosexuals or are we talking about horseshoes and shuffleboard?
