Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 08:38 PM) Like the swearing does add to baseball discussion? Interesting perspective. And now he gets Blalock on 3 pitches. It doesn't add or remove from a baseball discussion. If someone is unable to decipher a post which mentions a few words, then it's their problem. I can agree in certain situations it may be unwarranted. Such as single posts which say nothing besides "f.uck," but people often include in within legitimate posts. I'd like to know who's honestly offended? Who asked Jason to adopt language filters? I severly doubt, knowing him, it was his decision.
The Ginger Kid
nice hit, JD. the sox haven't won a game since the filter has been on. Coincidence?
CWSOX45
last year when we were playing the yankees we were hitting like this....then i tried reverse psychology, saying that every player sucked. We went on to score 7 runs that inning. So here we go starting with AJ YOU SUCK, CREDE YOU SUCK, URIBE YOU SUCK, ANDERSON YOU SUCK now lets hope the runs come pouring in. Kalapse
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) I just showed his translated stats compared to Buehrle's. If anything, Buehrle's headed down the bad road considering he's not a strikeout pitcher, and he couldn't hit the ocean if he was living on a boat near the coast of Hawaii. So you want to trade a pitcher who you think sucks for another pitcher who is currently sucking and only going to get worse that's cool. Take a look at Willis' year by year stats, his K/9, K/BB, WHIP, ERA, BABIP anything you want, his future is going to be full of Hideo Nomo comparisons and I don't want any part of that. You want Willis and don't want Buehrle that's your whole thing. I really could care less.
fathom
QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 01:42 AM) Detroit wins tonite. Yikes. Rodney's really struggling for the Tigers right now. However, J. Walker is quietly putting together a sensational year.

kapkomet
I'll tell you... JD has impressed the heck out of me. When he signed up, I thought for sure he was washed up. He's having a great season, and I almost argue he's our MVP this season so far.
Guest JimH
Is there another sox site with a more adult and individual atmosphere...because this ride on the tea cups is saddening Check the search engines but you may have to put the word adult in quotes or something ... not sure the search engine will understand that definition of adult. 5-2 now. Come on Sox.
StrangeSox
well done. Texeria misses another close play. At least some things are going the sox' way

SoxFan562004
spiff, the second that slam was hit against the Tigers I had the same feeling that I had when Hunter knocked down Burke. It seemed to suck the life out of the team and it never came back. Hopefully they can pull one out tonight and pump life back into this season

He's having a great season, and I almost argue he's our MVP this season so far. I did not expect him to be this productive. I knew he would bounce back after those awful two first months last year, he is a pro, but he is having a career year. Let's hope it's not wasted. Monroe's slam is probably the biggest Tigers hit in 20 years.

I can't stress how important it is for this franchise for Anderson to become an everyday center fielder, and McCarthy a solid starting pitcher.
