fathom
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 01:49 AM) This is good baseball by the offense right here. Until that. We need to get some big, clutch hits going.
StrangeSox
QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) 2 on, no out, and they don't bunt Uribe. I don't get that. This team hasn't exactly had a lot of success with the bunt as of late.

BA is the absolute perfect candidate right here, nice linedrive hitter he could put one in a gap.

fathom
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 01:50 AM) BA is the absolute perfect candidate right here, nice linedrive hitter he could put one in a gap. His head's coming off the pitch more tonight than it was in the last two weeks. He needs to stay on the pitch.
Kalapse
QUOTE(Felix @ Jul 21, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) Uribe is a very bad bunter. He probably had the best sac bunt on this team all year against the Astros.

fathom
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jul 22, 2006 -> 01:52 AM) No outs, how can we manage not to score here ... just watch. We've become very station-to-station. There's not a whole lot of speed, so unless we string together a lot of hits and then a homer, we're not going to have a big inning. SoxFan562004
man, I know Uribe has had trouble bunting, but these guys have to have quality at bats. The approach of Uribe is why 45% of the runs have been scored via the homerun. They have a shot to get back in this game and it's slowly going away like the last 2 weeks. Ouch, that BA strike-out hurts. (sorry about setting off the filter, not doing it to stick it to anyone, just mindlessly typing and letting stuff slip) Well, the Rangers bullpen has been solid, Ozzie should have these guys bunt until they get it right, not let them try and hit in those situations
