1549
The New York papers have been waiting for Steinbrenner to lose control. This may be the spark in the powder keg. If so...good bye Torre, good bye Zim, good bye Cashman.
seventytwo
Look out, Mount Steinbrenner is about to erupt. He'll probably rip the "C" off of Jeter's jersey.

The Critic
This answers the age-old question: "How many pitchers does it take to no-hit the Spankees?" I am SO grateful to the Spankees for giving me ammo against my NY-loving friends at work! First they drop 2 of 3 to the Cubs, then they s***can Acevedo, now this!! As a lifelong Spankee hater, this has been a VERY good week!!!

Guest hotsoxchick1
ya know though.. the thing with the yankees is that they all of the sudden get hot when it matters and before you know it they are in first... winning the division and then onto the playoffs......wish we could do that...... YASNY
Boston's pitching has been struggling early, and the Yankmees sidn't take advantage of it. Now it appears the BoSox pitching is rounding into form. Gonna be an interesting race.
rafacosta
Next week, the Tankees, will be on the top 5 in the ESPN's Power Rankings.
YASNY
Here's an interesting little Yankee stat. Derek Jeter is putting up some Sosa-esque numbers. He has struck out in 12 of his last 19 AB's.

JTC2784
This brings up another question... how much longer until it happens to the Sox????
Pastime
The Yankees were no-hit for many reasons. 1. They faced 6 pitchers they never saw before. 2. They are struggling, and much like Sox hitters, everyone is trying to hit a 5-run homer and pressing. 3. They hack at everything, and no one on that team has any plate discipline. whitesox247
And to think, it was 3 walks and an error away from a perfect game. Oswalt, Munro, Saarlos, Lidge, Dotel, Wagner
