Brian
Beckett is so overrated. Florida got a ring out of him than flipped him for a great young SS. Is BBTN keeps talking like he is a Cy Yound candidate, I'll puke.
Chisoxfn
Becket is hype. The matchups are just fine for the Tigers in this series. Schilling can be beaten, Beckett gets hit almost every start (despite the hype) and who knows what Boomer Wells you'll get.

Being vague and sounding like you know it all isn't fooling anyone. Now that that's out of the way what the heck are you talking about? I didn't think I was being all that vague. You're telling me you've never heard/suspected anything about Rowand and the possibility of performance enhancing drugs? You can basically infer the same things about Rowand that you can for Rodriguez. And this is about as far as I'm going to go on this, conversations on this subject especially involving Rowand never end well.

I've never heard anyone out and out say they believe Rowand did steroids. I've heard people say they heard it from someone. Therefore I lead it to be Cub fan crap. I'm not saying he didn't, I don't really care. Never heard a real accusation. After all, he's Aaron Rowand, who cares?
The Ginger Kid
Rowand's steroid use aside... projected matchups next week: Contreras vs. Verlander Buehrle vs. Rogers Garcia vs. Miner Garland vs. Robertson (kind of glad we dodge bonderman -- he's nails at home) This weekend in the tinky winky dome: Garcia vs. Bonser Garland vs. Radke Vazquez (sheep) vs. Santana (wolf)
SoxAce
I'll say this. This means that Frank Thomas has done it as well since he and Rowand worked out together ALOT during the off-season when they were teammates.

This means that Frank Thomas has done it as well since he and Rowand worked out together ALOT during the off-season when they were teammates. With all due respect, it is completely asinine to make a correlation like that, Rowand more than likely worked out with others that were teammates of his in the past whom did not use any sort of performance enhancing drugs. Hell, I've worked out hard in the past with guys who enjoy shooting needles into their asses and yet I've never done the s***.
Bonderman38
Really, Bonderman is better on the road than at home. Home- 12 Starts 4-4 4.54 ERA Away- 12 Starts 7-1 3.01 ERA Much of that home failure was early season. Still either way, you are lucky you don't get him. He's a stud. SEC Tight Ends usually do not need to get stronger. Aaron Rowand was never on steroids either. Don't even suspect it. Pretty much all of his numbers suffered in 2005. His homers were almost cut in half (while having more at-bats in 2005 than he did in 2004). There's reason to suspect something.

A-row wasnt on the same team as some of the biggest juicers in the MLB. He also wasnt directly named in a book regarding use. Also, I-rod's numbers are hilariously inflated during those years. JackTalkThai
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) Wow. Those are two huge injuries. Please keep us posted! Infante didn't leave the game due to injury. He was replaced by Inge at third for defensive purposes. The Polanco injury is huge though. Obviously he was a defensive stalwort but he was also the #1 steadying influence on the team when he came up to bat. He never struck out, he would almost always put the ball in play (and in the direction that the situation demanded) and he was one of the best hitters with RISP in the entire leauge. The degree of his shoulder separation is not yet known.
